As is becoming the norm each week sees more and more light shone onto what women have been subjected to for the last few years.

Am I alone in thinking a huge turning point has been reached here?

I'm happy with the good news, but I fear there are a lot more hurdles left to negotiate. I'm grateful to all the people who, like Graham, are fighting our corner.

I'd like to think this is a dying snake but I've seen it's far too easy to walk back civil rights and I'm apprehensive about a Thermidorean Reaction.

Although I feel so depressed with it all. Having long conversations back and forth with my DC's school about the PSHE curriculum. I email my MP about women's rights. I get so angry reading the threads on here and what is happening to women and our rights, Marion Millar etc. And it just feels insurmountable at times, and exhausting.

As well as the general misogyny that we still face. The bloody men who I've had conversations with recently, who think a transwoman's 'feelings' are more important than a woman's right to feel safe in the toilets, changing rooms etc.

I agree the situation on the whole is still depressing but I feel a corner has been turned. Think back to last year and how little coverage there was on any of these subjects but for over a month now the big papers have had an article addressing whats going on almost on a daily basis.

Who would have thought just a year ago that there would be a mainstream news outlet like GBNews actively discussing the issues and the general public are finally seeing the reality of whats going on.

Then look to the US with all the kick back Bidens woke admin are getting - you've got parents banding together and attacking the school boards over gender politics & CRT.

And I feel the big turning point came yesterday with the announcement of Trumps lawsuit against big tech, India removing Twitters protections and the Republican Governor also going after Twitter etc

I think this is the big turning point because social media is where this rot has been allowed to propagate and manage the narrative and now looks like those with power are aiming to remove the protections they have - the jist of what they are saying is that the likes of Twitter are no longer just platforms for opinions so arent responsible for what is posted but in reality they are acting like any other publishing outlet because they censor what they dont agree with and do nothing about the politics they do agree with.

I hope so OP. And I'll keep going with the (tiny) contributions I can make. I'm continuing with the conversation with my DC's school- they have actually been very willing to engage.
