Sort of but not exactly... David Reimer's penis was irretrievably damaged during a botched circumcision and he was then "raised as a girl". This book charts his tragic story and the horrendous, unethical "treatment" he received at the hands of so-called expert Dr John Money.

Money theorised that you can raise a child as either sex and that is how they will feel. He was wrong, and yet so much modern madness stems from his unproven theories.

He did. His story is one that many would do well to remember.

I knew the headlines but having recently read the above book was shocked at exactly how horrendous his experiences were, and how badly Money treated him. I'm going to recommend the book at any given opportunity, i really think it is absolutely essential reading.

Now when people talk about gender identity it really makes me wonder what exactly they think it is, and where the theory came from.

Gender identity theory has spawned the greatest medical scandal since the labotomy craze and most prople have no idea beyond stonewall approved sound bites.

I studied psychology as part of my degree and I remember doing a developmental module. Children who were ‘experiments’ and taken from ‘the norm’ generally grew up majorly messed up. It’s not rocket science people...

Well, I’m not sure it constitutes ‘proof’ but we already have people spending a lot of money, time and energy in transitioning on purpose, so I guess both are evidence that some people have an internal sense of gender.

That said, there are people who have spent a lot of money changing their bodies in other ways (race - Oli the Korean; the tiger man Denis Avner; porn stars et al with their breast implants) so I’m not sure what all those things are evidence for?

Reimer doesn't prove an internal sense of gender. Reimer was a boy. This is a fact. He was mutilated and abused. Anyone looking at Money's unethical child abuse as proof that male and female people have an inner essence that can differ from their actual sex are using an abused boy who knew he was male as proof.

This doesn't say anything about trans except it's not possible to change your sex, but it does suggest that you're probably a deeply unpleasant person if you think it makes a pro gender case.

Sorry, OP, I don't know of any books as yet, from a combination of the novelty of the trans experiment, and the suppression of those who do detransition for political reasons.
