Jean Hatchet wins case against Shanu Varma

PandorasMailbox · 29/06/2021 10:06

Jean was accused of misappropriating the funds she raised through her cycling for murdered women.

Hopefully, this will now set a precedent and stop the smears and lies by certain transactivists.

Joss Prior gets a mention in the judgement,

That's a serious warning shot. £45,000 in damages and looks like full costs. I hope she gets the money.

OvaHere · 29/06/2021 10:18

I had no idea this case was happening. Well done on the win.

Congratulations to Jean 👍

ArabellaScott · 29/06/2021 10:26

Wow, I also had no idea this was happening. Well done, Jean.

Great news, well done Jean!

What kind of person comes on mumsnet to complain someone isn't dying fast enough?

Oh, the kind of person who thinks the successful court action for defamation is an attack but not the initial defamation.

Flipping hell though. Trans activists. They go around claiming that medical science has progressed so much that uterus implants in males are possible, and then the same group pretends to get confused that life-prolonging treatment for cancer might work.

Faugh. Right side of history my arse.

ScreamingMeMe · 30/06/2021 16:30

What kind of person comes on mumsnet to complain someone isn't dying fast enough?

Seriously? I'm glad I missed that. That's a special kind of warped.

To answer your question: a sore loser?

ScreamingMeMe · 30/06/2021 16:31

Tbf I don't think the other thread title mentioned Jean, so easily missed.

I wish Mumsnet were able to combine threads though.

Please tell me that's not what GrannySpalding has posted on both threads?

Rightly deleted if so but GC posters on here, including me, have been deleted for far, far, less hideous posts, not even comparable.

It's both sides, yeah right of course it is.

nauticant · 30/06/2021 17:00

What kind of person comes on mumsnet to complain someone isn't dying fast enough?

Probably someone who goes on about everyone* having to be kind.

  • where "everyone" doesn't mean everyone

Absolutely this Sad. So lacking in self awareness, I cannot imagine the mental gymnastics they go through to consider themselves a good person.
AlfonsoTheMango · 30/06/2021 17:55

Hooray for Jean! That judgement is a poke in the eye for TRAs.

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 30/06/2021 18:12

RedDogsBeg You've got the basic idea. For reasons of basic common decency, I can't repeat the post.

PurpleHoodie · 30/06/2021 19:14

Jean Star

thinkingaboutLangCleg · 30/06/2021 19:35

Wonderful news. Let's hope this is the beginning of the end of men attacking women and getting away with it every time.

Thanks for confirming Purgatory I wouldn't want or expect you to repeat it no-one on this side of the divide would ever sink to those depths even to illustrate how low TRAs go and yet we're the big, bad meanies.
picklemewalnuts · 30/06/2021 20:45

If Grannyspalding actually said some remark as horrible as seems to have been, please tell me that they have been banned!

(I'm reporting my own post so MNHQ can respond).

HopeMumsnet · 30/06/2021 20:48

Hi there picklemewalnuts,
We can confirm that this is indeed the case.

picklemewalnuts · 30/06/2021 20:58

Thank you @HopeMumsnet! It's hard to process how people can think like that Sad

Jeanhatchet · 03/07/2021 10:34

Granny Spalding - was in all likelihood the troll Ciaran Goggins. Cross because he was used in the witness statement. He has been stalking my online presence for 8 years relentlessly. He is beyond insane at this point and the police should collect him from his hovel as soon as possible.

Cancer patients often take time to die. Oncologists work hard to keep us alive. I have an uncertain prognosis because my tumour is not responsive to chemotherapy.

If anyone wants to have a guess how long I've got - it will be as good as mine.

Below is a link to the type of cancer and the study of prognosis and survival. Don't think I don't read it on a weekly basis and start doing sums. Do I feel lucky punk? Yes actually. I've done 3 years since diagnosis and it's been a blast.

I have had primary reductive surgery but not secondary reductive surgery as my oncologist says she might not be able to successfully find the new tumour and may leave me with more damage. So we wait. Anyone feel like doing the maths. You can. Anyone feel like saying I don't have cancer. I'll sue.

www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6195427/

I'm making it count. I'm making it count for women. So my daughter is proud of me.

Jeanhatchet · 03/07/2021 10:35

Sorry - should have said - my maternal grandmother was Spalding. So Goggins The Insane used it.
