Safe Schools Alliance UK thread on Childline and NSPCC

Safe Schools Alliance UK have done a great Twitter thread on the evidence of grooming children into gender identity ideology by Childline and NSPCC. We trust these organisations to look after children, but they are doing the opposite! SSAUK have looked through the NSPCC and Childline "resources" and there is evidence of them promoting breast binders, promoting gender ideology (contrary to DfE guidance), and promoting puberty blockers. They even suggest children join online forums and message strangers!

The teacher volunteers at SSAUK have gone through most of the dodgiest "gender ideology" resources, and the Childline/NSPCC ones are here: safeschoolsallianceuk.net/resources-2/factsheets/#Parents_Guide_to_NSPCC_Childline_PSHE_and_RSE_Resources

Its very worrying because the NSPCC have statutory powers. They need a regulatory body that oversees them imo.

Jesus. Bloody well done to safe schools alliance. Honest to God, I for one am so grateful that they are going through this sexist, dangerous nonsense with a fine tooth comb.

It's all awful.

The bit I've just read was the definition of a princess - A demanding woman who displays female characteristics.

And 'camp' is an insult towards gay men to suggest they display female characteristics.

All this without a hint of awareness of their own misogyny.

Depressingly my relative works for NSPCC and she has totally swallowed the kool-aid.

It's just a shame they didn't cover the Childline chat boards...

Sunkisses · 27/06/2021 14:55

@ItsAllGoingToBeFine - dare I ask what is on the Childline chat boards....? Confused Hmm

We have looked at them but we're concerned about drawing attention to them. Highlighted here:

These definitions and the lesson plan was just baffling bit to mention awful, sexist, homophobic. We see a lot of terrible lesson plans but this one has to be in our top ten.

Thanks for the link to the tweet - have you managed to bring them to the attention of those people / relevant people?

I understand your concerns but can't help thinking that a massive outrage causing spread in the media might be the only way to make people care.

2fallsagain · 27/06/2021 17:24

We have written to everyone linked in the tweet without much engagement. We would like people to write to the same people and their MPs. We have to keep making noise. It does have an impact.

WarriorN · 28/06/2021 07:40

I believe Baroness Nicholson knows about it.

Brilliant list of info. Thank you SSAUK.

And bloody shocking.
