BB said 'excuse me' very nicely as he squeezed past me on the Pussy March back in early 2017 (it was a massive squash and squeeze at that stage of the march, he wasn't pushing in or anything). It made my day, week maybe. (Not because he'd said 'excuse me' per se but because, well, Billy Bragg.) This just makes his fall sadder to me in an entirely personal context. Ah well.

Same here. I was only thinking the other day that Billy knew the difference between men and women when he sang “they put YOU on the pill..” and yet Kirsty sang “you put ME on the pill”.
