I think I've assumed that they know what they're doing. They're just propping up all the polite lies and validations and dogmas. But this sounds like they actually really and truly don't see that they're "apologising for borrowing your sisters jacket in 1992, whilst wearing her ENTIRE WARDROBE." (Perfect analogy, JustcameoutGC.)

This boggles my mind a bit. I watched the first ep and I don't think there was a contestant over 35. How anyone of that younger generation could ever think blacking up is okay in this day and age is pretty unfathomable.
