Wonderful, isn't she? Brave. I hope it is shared widely [I have done so, and came to MN specifically to check this had been noted] and I hope it makes people think very hard.

Rhannion · 03/06/2021 11:26

She is a gutsy woman and well done to her.

Whatwouldscullydo · 03/06/2021 11:26

Wow! Good for her! So brave

LaBellina · 03/06/2021 11:29

Wonderful. She’s being very well spoken and brave esspecially for her age.
May she keep spreading the good message of feminism!

Sophoclesthefox · 03/06/2021 11:57

Brilliant and brave. Brava, Paxton. Wishing you every success in the future.

EmbarrassingAdmissions · 03/06/2021 12:01

Such a courageous action.

merrymouse · 03/06/2021 12:10

So strange that she should have to say this in 2021, but if nothing else the last few years have shown that nothing can be taken for granted.

viques · 03/06/2021 12:11

Just been watching her, what a brave, articulate and wonderful young woman she is. Well done Paxton, I hope you inspire more young women to speak out and challenge what you rightly call a war on the bodies of Texan women.

ScreamingMeMe · 03/06/2021 12:16

👏👏👏👏

InspiralCoalescenceRingdown · 03/06/2021 12:21

What a great speech!

powershowerforanhour · 03/06/2021 16:13

Well done Paxton, congratulations and thank you from this Northern Irish woman.

L0V315 · 03/06/2021 16:33

What an awesome woman Star

InsideNumberNine · 03/06/2021 19:09

Christ, that had me in tears. Eloquent, moving and angry. What a woman.

LuckyWookie · 03/06/2021 19:17

Sadly I think this will result in a lot of educated young women leaving Texas forever... followed by the educated young men who want to be in relationships with them. Bravo to the young lady for speaking up when she had the chance to do so.

OhHolyJesus · 03/06/2021 19:33

I'll be honest, women like this give me hope.

cariadlet · 03/06/2021 19:45

She was very brave, passionate and articulate.

I was also impressed by the very positive (as far as I could tell from the video on the BBC website) reception her fellow graduates gave to the speech.
