The judicial system is so pitted against women. It's disgusting and my faith in the police is completely eroded.

I'm so sad for Fri. Bloody fuming in fact.

Awful. The hypocrisy and blindness of our judicial system is frightening.

Why is it that men will find any reason to make an acceptable excuse when a man murders a woman but if a woman kills a man, no matter how much of an evil bastard he is, is suddenly painted as a fucking saint.

America is worse for this, especially when they are changing laws enabling them to treat any woman or girl who needs an abortion worse than a serial killer.

This is never ending isn't it. I hope Fri is closer than ever to family life. I wish her well x

Fuck that judge. Poor woman.
You think of the light sentences men get for murdering their partners during "sex gone wrong". Or that cricketer who poured bleach down his wife's throat but wasn't initially jailed because he lied about being signed by some cricket team. And then you see this. Multiples rapes, DV and strangulation, and she strikes back and stabs him - once, not even repeatedly - and is put away for about a decade. Poor kids too.

Yes the making excuses for men is so obvious. I feel sick when I see the words family man or great father in this context. And women always get longer sentences..

Stalkers, attackers and rapists being excused in case it 'ruins their life' or hurts their career.

It is horrific, all I can suggest is, if you have time, volunteer as a magistrate....we need more women on the bench who might be more sympathetic to the violence women suffer at the hands of their male partners. Or If yr clever enough, train as a lawyer & represent these women!

This case is terrible.

The reporting I've seen on it is very much presenting it as wtf. So that at least is good- that it's been picked up and the press are reporting what's happened as a bad thing.
