There is a pullout in today's Guardian about influential lesbians. Cameos and longer pieces. One of the longer pieces is an interview with a "trans lesbian."

AIBUin thinking that's a bit odd?

That depends on whether the person is a man or a woman.

It would help if you could supply photos. I don't want to denigrate a piece I haven't read. Depending on what "trans lesbian" means in this context, this could be odd from the Guardian, or entirely in character.

The Guardian should read The Equality Act. 'Lesbian' has a legal definition and is a protected characteristic.

Surely no actual lesbian is going to be attracted to a TW though? If they wanted a penis wouldn’t they just be straight? I mean, maybe they could be friends but surely if they want to have sex then that rather precludes a penis

What is a non man?

Caitlin Jenner is a trans woman who is attracted to women but I don't actually think she has labelled herself as a lesbianism. I think unless a trans woman who identifies as a lesbian is doing something to cause harm to you by identifying in the way they chose to then you really shouldn't have reason to be upset about that. Live and let live.

Just…. Kind of nothing. If you are human and not a man, in some people’s eyes, you don’t really matter and certainly don’t deserve your own word.
