Just thought I would post the link to this report as there was a discussion on C4(?) news.

As survivors, many of our stories have been characterised by being ignored, hidden or gaslit. Our experiences are littered with gut-wrenching instances where power-holders have missed opportunities to take action against child sexual abuse and exploitation.

In line with the moral courage that it’s taken for survivors in the Survivors Working Group to step up and speak out, and in order to honour the experiences of many more victims and survivors across our country, we implore those in positions of power at all levels to step up and speak out on this too.Dignify our experiences with action.Honour our stories with reform.

CSJ is right wing so not saying it is the authorative source, but important that all parties start to do something to address this terrible abuse of children, which seems to be growing.

Was this the same item that the problem of abusers name changing was mentioned? Stopping this practice whether by deed poll or repealing the GRA are something that could be tried.

Yes, its one of those oh dear the Tories seem to be a bit more alert than Labour. Sajid Javid was saying something along the lines of that when he was (briefly) a minister and had a meeting with the police he had assumed terrorism and so on would be top of the agenda.

And then he heard the figures on child abuse.
