An absolutely stellar post from Glosswitch this week

tinyletter.com/Glosswitch/letters/the-ok-karen-28-the-unbearable-enlightenment-of-older-men

“Younger men are being told they have to give up nothing by older men who are giving up nothing. And younger women see women like us and can only think “I won’t ever end up like them” (until they do, whereupon the male peers who stole their time, money and security can lecture them on being kind). This is not progress, but repetition.“

Oops sorry about the typo in the title - I’ll get it changed

We've tweaked your title now, @Wandawomble

When I was young, I used to be very angry that so many men couldn't see there were periods of their lives when they'd benefited from the legal lack of competition from women, disfavoured religions, racism and a disproportionate classism (intersectionality for the foregoing).

It's extraordinary that this is still volitional purblindness about this.
