Part of this I think is that lawyers operate in a framework where definitions have to be meaningful and ultimately things are decided on facts. Many lawyers have an instinctive sense, and horror, of the chaos that comes from the discarding of meaning, facts, and reality by the gender identity ideology.
It's one reason why the ideology is really struggling to make headway in the cases that end up in the High Court.
