Come off it Shizuku, very unlikely we wouldnt be aware of their trans status. We get told that it's more lethal to be a trans woman than any other demographic all the time, but there is no actual proof that is the case. I'm pretty sure it would be used as proof in every single interaction with TRAs if anyone of them were.

Many trans people have a GRC? How many is many? Because only around 5000 GRCs haven been issued since 2004. That's not 'many' in a population of 65,000,000. So around 0.008%

Those women's stories are publicly available - you can read about them @countdeadwomen. There are photographs of many of them. Stop making stuff up. It's tedious and offensive. Educate yourself about VAWG.

How do you know that none of the women on that list were trans?

Either there simply weren't any trans women murdered in which case it's unfair and disingenuous to attack Ingala Harris for not including them, or if some of the women on the list were trans then it's just as unfair and disingenuous to attack Ingala Harris for not including them. Its almost as if it's really about wanting an excuse to have a go at Ingala Harris and not really anything to do with excluding trans women at all.

It really makes you despair when this is the first response of someone hearing that list of names. Where is the compassion? The condemnation of male violence against women? The solidarity? The misplaced anger towards women (sensing a theme here) and attempt to refocus attention on a non existent group (by this I mean the list of trans women killed in the UK in the last 12 months) is mind boggling. Surely it’s a good thing that no trans women were killed in the last year.

SW points out that if a TW doesn't have a GRC then she will be recorded as a man. But I question what the alternative is. Obviously we currently record murder victims by their legal sex, in which case this method is correct. So are we saying murders should be recorded by gender? But we can't ask a murder victim how they identify. I suppose we could ask friends/family, but what if they disagree, whose word do we take? Or are supposed to go on what they are wearing at the time of their murder, or something? What exactly are SW and co proposing?

But if TW are women then they would be on the list as they would be a woman 🧐 so are they now admitting TW aren't women and need a separate list??!

What, no MTF trans person who fully passes to be "stealth" ever refers to themselves as transgender on social media? Because I deduce from the fact that most self declared MTF trans people are very obviously biological males, even with the ability to use photoshop, that most MTF trans people don't actually pass as female.
