Protest outside Grand Valley Institute for Women in Canada

Today a group of women, including some former prisoners, protested outside Grand Valley Institute for Women against the Correctional Service of Canada policy on allocation of transgender prisoners. Their demands included that women's prisons should be kept single SEX and that gender identity has no bearing in decisions concerning allocation to the female estate.

I wish them luck.

If women in women's prisons are saying it isn't working then it's insane and hardly respectful of women's voices or rights that it's being persisted with regardless.
