The Red School provides courses and stuff all about menstruation from a female empowerment point of view. Think spiritual, feminine power, book published by Hay House type of thing.

They also seem to think penises have a place in discussions of periods, because inclusivity. Or something. I honestly can't keep up anymore.

On a bit of a tangent, the organisations Sex Club and Pinky Promise have similar themes and the people involved are allso involved in sharing circles, teen "empowerment", new age cultic perspectives on sex and gender

This is a cultural movement where sex, drugs, psychotherapy, cultural appropriation and pseudo-spiritual ceremonies combine to create a very strange beast indeed

Juliane Mueller
Sex Club co-founder, community builder and artist
I am a facilitator of transformational spaces, community builder and artist developing holistic structures and processes that further our collective evolution.

Sexual liberation is at the heart of individual transformation, without which there can be no meaningful societal progress. To this end, I have co-founded Sex Club in 2017. A space where peers exchange knowledge and experiences, to learn from each other and deliberately develop their sexuality.

I have co-founded and lived in an intentional community project in London for 4 years, developing frameworks for group process work and community maintenance. I became a co-director of The Psychedelic Society in December 2019.

My artistic and personal enquiry is the authentic expression of self through creativity, intellect, emotion and sexuality. I spent 10 years in the corporate tech industry before my calling into the not-for-profit sector and I remembered that I'm an artist, as we all

Conor Cregg
Sex Club co-lead, Counsellor and Psychologist
I’m a psychologist trained as a counsellor and coach. I design group processes and offer one-to-one sessions to help people to deepen their self awareness and return to their natural state of ease and flow.

I’ve been leading Sex Club with Juliane since the beginning and I’ve found it deeply touching to see the impact it has had for participants on the courses and in the workshops.

My background is in psychology with a B.A. in psychology and an MSc in behaviour change, I’ve also trained as a holistic counsellor.
Team
In March 2017, I met a group of women who were running a Sex Club in which they would watch feminist porn and talk about sex. I was excited to hear about its existence and I wanted to join, yet it was a closed group. Instead, they suggested to start my own sex club. It took me 8 months to muster the courage to host my first women only Sex Club. As format I used a sharing circle where we shared vulnerably and in detail about sex. Since it resonated with everyone, I continued to hold them monthly in my living room, now experimenting with mixed gender group which I found invaluable for my personal development. Noticing how attending Sex Clubs helped my personal transformation, I felt passionate to make this space available to a more diverse audience.

In summer 2018, I hosted the first Sex Club at a festival in Italy, Mandrea. In December 2018, I hosted the first public Sex Club together with Conor Cregg in London at The Psychedelic Society. In the spirit of the Sex Club founder mama’s I envisioned Sex Club to be open source and I drafted a how-to-guide with a simple format to encourage people to host their own Sex Club for their friends and communities. Conor has continued to facilitate with me, and is still part of the Sex Club team. We’ve developed Sex Clubs since with different topics and group process exercises to further our exploration into different topics.

In February 2019, Chloe Wisdom joined. She infused Sex Club with her energy and knowledge in psychotherapy, sex therapy and somatic work. Together we developed Intimacy Jam which is a more embodied version of the conversational sex clubs. We started hosting at different venues such as The Apple Tree, House of Togetherness and took Sex Club to more festivals such as Noisily, Wilderness, Summerhouse, and Togetherness Festival. In June 2019, I’ve hosted the first Sex Club Panel and Chloe further developed the Sex Club how-to-guide and we launched the first Sex Club in Stroud hosted by Psychotherapist Eva Karia. In September 2018 we piloted our first online Sex Club. In the same month, we decided to stop working together. In November 2018 Gili Gilganit starts hosting the first Sex Club in Chiang May, Thailand.

In March 2020 just as Conor and I were launching our first Sex Club 4 Week Course, Covid-19 hit and we transferred our workshops online. The online courses have been a huge success and have impacted many people's lives positively. Read all reviews

WHAT IS SEX CLUB?
Connect, listen, share
Sex Club breaks the taboos around intimacy and sexuality. It's a facilitated conversational space to ask & talk about what we usually don't dare to. Come to listen and share your knowledge & experience, with curiosity and in juicy detail, about sexual dynamics, myths, the vagina, the penis, the anus, orgasms, no orgasms, erection, no erection, monogamy, polyamory, spirituality, communication, menstruation, insecurities, pain, pleasure… you name it.

We believe that sharing experiences and becoming comfortable with talking about sex is a first step to experiencing a more fun and conscious sex life.

Post-pandemic, we also run Intimacy Jams, panel discussions on topics like polyamory, orgasms, sex & psychedelic etc and are present at festivals. Check our events below.

and this (as “mini sex club”)

Unfortunately these “co-created” “conscious” “circles” combine sex cults with MLMs. Sexual and financial exploitation tends to be significant and they spread like a virus via social contagion
