A great article. The John Locke quote about minority points of view particularly stood out for me. Something along the lines of they can be tolerated as long as they don’t seek domination over others.

Yes it is ValancyRedfern! Being charitable was she trying to make the point that she feels this way but isn’t particularly active in women’s rights, thus even “ordinary” non harridan types care about this issue? It was pretty offensive nonetheless.

I'm becoming more and more aware of the automatic virtue signal and disclaimers that women feel compelled to make. I'm starting to intentionally look for them in everything. Women have to be so consciously careful and so coy in saying anything at all that may bruise feelings, in order to be permitted to speak at all.

It reminds me of the automatic lowering of the eyes traditionally required of servants when their betters walked by, with consequences for failing to do it properly or fast enough.
