This is a response I receuved in a debate about transwomen in sports. I pretty much received the same response from him about transwomen in womens' prisons; that it's a "balance" and that women being attacked in prisons is better than transwomen being attacked in mens' prisons. Ashamed to say I lost my shit a little bit.

So becuase they choose to take medication that will hinder theor performance against men, women have to accept being booted out of their own sports as if its their duty to absorb the consequences of someone else's choices ?

The only potential suffering I have seen of transwomen competing in men’s sport is suffering from not being good enough.

Of course it’s women’s duty to centre men and their choices. In sport as in life.

Same as it’s women’s duty to support their husbands career at the expense of their own.

And women’s duty to have an abortion if the man decides he doesn’t want her to have a Baby.

And the mother’s duty to care for and financially support the children of fathers who don’t want to.

And women’s duty to have whatever kind of sex her partner wants, even if it physically injures her.

And women’s duty to care for elderly relatives - not just her own but even her husbands relatives.

And women and girls duty to #bekind to men and boys at whatever cost to the themselves.

Repeat that phrase to yourself ‘women should suffer, women should suffer’ Why should women suffer, because they’ve been suffering for thousands of years for the advantage of others?

Becoming a trans person is a choice, if you choose to take this choice you cannot expect all women who play sport to ‘suffer’ any disadvantage for your benefit. Taking the view that they should is egotistical, selfish and unbalanced in the extreme.

Well I think it's good to see them setting out their thinking for everyone to see.

I also think it's Interesting that they don't appear to believe TWAW, otherwise surely they would simply have said, 'they should compete against women because they're women' or words to that effect?

We all know this sort of movement attracts misogyny. But when it's so blatant, with the expectation that it's completely normal, it's rather breathtaking.

Okay, I've got past the 'women should suffer'. Beyond that, how on earth have they decided that transwomen will suffer more? 'Less of a disadvantage'? Fucking HOW?

Beyond being sadistic misogynistic filth delighting in womens' suffering, this is also just TOTALLY FUCKING ILLOGICAL.

I think a lot of men actually think that way. They just want to make it fairer for the transwomen with literally no consideration for women at all. But I think this POV is easier to deal with in some respects as it is so it obviously misogynistic and unfair and they do acknowledge the biology, they just look at it from the wrong point of view.

That is pretty much what IOC and other sports regulators have decided, they just word it differently. They demand women to give up spaces for low-testosterone males because they have decided that these men don't belong in men's sports. How inclusive.

The problem is with men. It's men who should stop rejecting their effeminate peers and insisting that low testosterone and/or personal presentation is all it takes for a male athlete to be a "girl" or "woman".
I can't believe we're having to have this discussion in 2020.

It's getting said in plainer terms now (good), but this has always been the argument.

Some women will be assaulted, raped and murdered if single sex spaces are removed... but better women should suffer some collateral damage than vulnerable male born people should.

Women will lose dignity, privacy, emotional comfort - but that's acceptable collateral damage to meet the needs of vulnerable males.

It's been there front and centre from the start. This is the age old, millenia old beliefs:

Women are subordinate, lesser type humans who were born to less in life and need to accept this

Resources belong to males who will let women have the bits left over if they choose to

Women deal with pain, suffering, the shit work etc etc better than males and were designed by nature to do so

Any good person with a vagina is your mum and will put male needs above their own, self sacrifice, take what is left over and mop up after everyone else: any female who doesn't do this is a bad woman.

I'm sorry, I know it's daft to try and parse out sense in a ridiculous statement, but I am worrying away at it.

Logically, this person thinks that there is a greater difference in performance between natal males and males who [feel feminine/identify as women/may take female hormones] than there is between males who [feel feminine/identify as women/may take female hormones] and women?

Where have they got this idea? Do they think that taking female hormones somehow transforms a male into a shorter person with different bone structure? Even if there is a deleterious effect on musculature, I can't imagine it will somehow shunt a male who has gone through male puberty into a closer category to female than the male category.

Or is it more that they see the sex difference as defined by warm, fuzzy formless qualities like how hard someone tries and competitiveness, rather than boring old biological features?

Presumably this is the argument?

This sounds awful, but I am glad these kind of responses are there for all to see. At least the penny may start to drop for many and it can be debated properly.
