Does anyone know any women in the Green Party PLEASE!

There is an election ending at 23.59 on 23rd December to vote in the new Green Party Women committee.
As with the GPEW leadership and other elections, many people were unaware of the Gender Critical or Trans Ally views of all of the candidates, upon which they could base their selection.
We need everyone's help to get the information out to women in the Green Party, about which slate stands for which policy (women's sex-based rights, or trans women are women),

Could I ask MNer feminists if they could circulate the following information about one of the two slates that are aiming to be voted onto the GPW committee please?

This is critical.
These are the names I'd choose on the ballot. Other names are available if anyone so wishes, but these women are either neutral or in favour of women's sex-based rights. Neutral is good too as they are fair and interested in the climate change aspects of the GPEW, not the destructive identity politics that is tearing the Party apart. Those who are interested in women's sex-based rights are very keen on seeing the Party they love returning to its roots and fighting climate change on the political front.
Please vote for RON if you don't wish to vote for any of the other candidates. You do not need to vote for any additional names other than your choice(s) and voting for RON ensures that the others will not get any extra votes.

Will share OP. It's tragic the extent to which the Green Party has been taken over by misogynists.

I've voted. But as a lifelong environmentalist, I am a bit despondent about the present-day Green Party.

It campaigned on environmental issues for years while these were low on everyone else's agenda. But now that pollution and climate change are worldwide concerns, and even the main parties pay at least lip service to protecting our environment, the Green Party has wandered off into identity politics dead-ends. Just at the very moment when it could be picking up mass support if it looked like a real force for the environment.

@thinkingaboutLangCleg - this is exactly the reason why we need to prevent the trans activists from taking over the Greens completely. The greater our numbers, the more effective we can be. Thanks for your support, we need genuine Greens like you.

I appreciate the sentiment, but the Greens are a lost cause. My local group asked me (albeit very politely and discreetly) to leave as my views on gender (which I had never even expressed at meetings) were offensive and violent. Xmas Angry

But Even if the Greens weren't a lost cause, they'll never be voted in anyway. Xmas Sad

My local Green Party Rep shouts a lot on his private FB about Karens and Terfs so I’m not touching the Greens again.

Sadly, over months we've seen this thread or similar and so far, I haven't seen any whoops and cheers after an election, that shows success of the sensible. I will keep my fingers crossed for you but I do feel it's a lost cause.

If all is lost, who will the disenfranchised Greens be joining? I think you'll be in the same politically homeless state as lots of us

ChoosandChipsandSealingWax · 21/12/2020 08:38

Thank you so much, I will use this info to vote.

MrsDeadlock · 21/12/2020 13:08

Thank you for this. I had already voted along the lines you suggested. I had to read them a few times to make sure I wasn't tripping up anywhere!

The outcome of this will have a significant impact on whether I stay or go

Voted, as suggested, plus RON.
Let's hope it all works, this time!
