Surely whilst private providers may not be subject to the same NHS guidelines, none the less it would be a brave doctor that flouted nhs rules/guidelines? It must make them vulnerable to future legal action on grounds they knew they were going against established practice and legal opinion.

According to GIDS the ruling applies to all providers - public and private - of treatment administered in England and Wales.

How a certain clinic now operating from Spain reacts remains to be seen.
