I'm working my way through some old teenage CDs I found in my parents' loft and have been having a listen to some Garbage lately. I used to think she was so strong and their music was so empowering, but listening to it as a grown woman I just feel like 90% of the songs are her whining and begging some bloke to love her. I mean, one song is literally her singing 'I'm not like all of the other girls'. Groan.

I'm annoyed because Blondie are touring with Garbage next year and I'd love to see Blondie. Just CBA to sit through the rest of it.

I always used to think she was a bit of a knob but couldn't pinpoint why. I now think it's the Cool Girl, Not Like Other Girls thing.
