Julie Bindel discussion with Andrew Doyle on Spiked - audio only, 68 mins. www.spiked-online.com/podcast-episode/the-misogyny-of-trans-activism/

Andrew Doyle, comedian, Spiked columnist and creator of satirical woke character Titania McGrath, discusses misogyny and feminism with Julie Bindel.

As it's a long interview and not everyone can spare the time, I'd split it roughly like this: the first 20 mins or so, is a very good analysis of the nature of trans extremism and articulation of why she believes it is misogyny; for me the second segment dips a bit, going into the debate she had with Billy Bragg and Kehinde Andrews; can't remember all the rest but probably including JK Rowling and in passing, Woman's Hour gets a dishonourable mention for that notorious calling of a woman's group a hate group; the third section begins at about 40 mins in, on prostitution, on which she has done a great deal of work and research and is arguably at her most passionate and impressive; and ends up in the last five minutes or so about feminism and the position of young women and why she believes they need older feminists and feminism to support them.

Thanks OP, I like long interviews and podcasts to listen to at work. With headphones of course. On my list for this week.

The sex trade and other forms of male violence against women and girls is her life’s work. And the likes of Ash Sarker and Owen Jones are not fit to lick her boots.

She’s also funny and uses plain language in an incredibly intelligent way.

Thanks, OP I really enjoyed that. I am going to start a thread about what JB said at the end. Looking forward to her new book.
