Ha ha. Time to start ignoring all the boring people and bigging up the fabulous women like Bernadette. I think sometimes the annoying ones get additional publicity because everyone responds angrily. Same with Harrop on the other thread. Let them disappear up their own behinds.

BB is very interesting and I love her videos but she is definitely on the bandwagon as her sibling is trans or non binary.

This whole thing about 'unique' identities is just baffling to me. Is it something about being of a generation that grew up online? It's like everyone has to have an avatar - a brand, in a way. I'm in my late thirties so luckily avoided it. It's as though so many of them need constant attention and affirmation to feel validated. It explains the whole "You're denying my existence" bollocks.

I'm just not aware of ever thinking about my identity in that way. It changed massively when I had children but not in a way that requires anyone else to witness, if that makes sense.

Travis is kind of engaged in this type of work. A friend of mine ended up on a workshop with them at the Tate. It was trying to engage teenagers, but the teenagers weren't having it and it was just my mate and his 9 year old. Lol.
