Another Female Sex Offender

Rachel Smith

I'm not saying this person with an Adams apple, high hair line and conviction for a crime 99% of the time is committed by a person with an XY chromosome is not female (and yes, I know females can be deviant and evil to).

But, how can I be sure they are female, how can I know that what is reported is factually correct if we are not allowed to state biological facts.

I know! I get The DailyGlinner email and just had exactly the same reaction!

RufustheSniggeringReindeer · 13/10/2020 09:18

I did think the mail was a bit more in the ball with this

The comments are always full of ‘ugly woman’ ‘women are just as bad’ posts and i sit there thinking ‘how are you unable to put two and two together’

BowlerHatPowerHat · 13/10/2020 09:26

I don't understand why editors who want to make it clear it's a man have the words woman and female in articles. Why not write: person, aged 56, ...
Most people would picture the correct sex of the perpetrator given the crimes listed. Surely that wouldn't break some publishing code of practice.

TreestumpsAndTrampolines · 13/10/2020 09:28

Personally I think this is a wilful mis-reading of the IPSO guidelines, which are fine with you printing a person's sex, but should only print other info if it's relevant.

This is just blatant false reporting, that person's sex is not female, and is therefore, in my opinion, against the guidelines.

If anyone sees those photos and don’t say “well it’s obvious that’s a fucking man” I would assume they were blind.

I mean good god!

And bore there’s a special place in hell reserved for you with those photos Envy

They don't care, and they couldn't resist the "female sex offender with 50 previous convictions" angle.

And they've had training from Mermaids.

RufustheSniggeringReindeer · 13/10/2020 09:46

Its the female bit that gets me as well

Person A ...Can we all share the word woman?

Majority of the population...of course, we want to be nice and kind And we can still use male and female to differentiate when absolutely necessary

Person A....lovely, thank you...oh I’m taking female as well

Majority of the population....oh that’s no problem, means the same thing anyway

QuentinWinters · 13/10/2020 09:50

bore thanks for posting those 🤮
Seriously. Calling transwomen "female" is a new layer of obfuscation. Maybe this is the response to pushback on redefining woman. If we insist woman = adult human female, they will try to redefine female. Hmm

IwishNothingButTheBestForYou · 13/10/2020 09:53

Trying to redefine "adult" too.

TyroBurningDownTheCloset · 13/10/2020 09:58

Could be worse, Rufus. I was eating when I scrolled down as far as that photo.

There's a small part of me that wonders if we should actually have a trigger warning before such photos, for the sake of us agp-survivors. But the larger part of me is distracted by a strengthening of my aversion to feminine-sexy coded stuff.

Could be they've described this individual as female because there's a GRC. If there isn't, it's a straight-up lie.

IwishNothingButTheBestForYou2 · 13/10/2020 10:04

Comment of the day.

(My similar feelings on this date as far back as that Kevin Rowland video.)

That's a very good encapsulation of the language problem, rufus. Some of the transactivists are after 'biological female' too now, ffs. Hmm

One of the commwnts : Ridiculous. If it were a fella would have been locked up and rightly so

Haha. Brilliant.

TyroBurningDownTheCloset · 13/10/2020 10:25

Never heard of Kevin Rowland. I'm going to regret googling this, aren't I?

TalkingtoLangClegintheDark · 13/10/2020 10:27

We need another legal challenge, around the ridiculous press reporting rules/guidelines that are the cause of this constant deception.

It is very much in the public interest to know the real sex of sex offenders, given how massively more likely males are to be in this category than females, and given the current moves to fully legitimise access for those males who wish it to spaces where females are vulnerable.

And of course it’s in the public interest generally to know when newspapers are blithely reporting outright lies, as the Mail has done here. Indefensible.

IwishNothingButTheBestForYou2 · 13/10/2020 10:41

I can't do links but just google (image is enough!) his name and the word "dress".

TyroBurningDownTheCloset · 13/10/2020 11:00

Eye bleach needed!

I dare say certain quarters would dismiss us as prudes, but all I can think, when subjected to that sort of imagery, is: I am being forced into the role of gazing male, and it revolts me; and it's all for men's benefit, not ours.

Not sure about if it were a fella would have been locked up - I forget whether it was local or in the nationals but just yesterday I was reading about a convicted man-identifying male paedophile who'd been spared prison lest the poor wee flower caught covid in there; and then of course there's my own abuser, whom the judge believed could be rehabilitated of his tendency to rape preschoolers.

FindTheTruth · 13/10/2020 11:00

I would like to see a legal challenge too @TalkingtoLangClegintheDark

I'd like to see a debate, or petition on a new Proposed Equality Act crime reporting section:

e.g.

A person does not contravene section X, so far as relating to sex discrimination, by reporting crime for persons of each sex if—

(a)the limited provision is a proportionate means of achieving a legitimate aim -

'legitimate aim' is that male sex crimes are reported accurately as it affects public policy etc etc*

RufustheSniggeringReindeer · 13/10/2020 11:07

I agree with find

I’m not much good at organising stuff...but I’m happy to be organised

NotTerfNorCis · 13/10/2020 11:14

There are too many comments along the lines of 'if this was a man he'd be treated differently'.

If this person really is male, is the paper suppressing that to push another agenda?

TalkingtoLangClegintheDark · 13/10/2020 11:27

The whole MRA “women get treated so much better”, schtick? Men are the real victims?

Yes, that’s a thought.

That correlation between MRA and TRA really stands out sometimes, doesn’t it.

TalkingtoLangClegintheDark · 13/10/2020 11:33

FindTheTruth, I’d like to see truthful reporting across the board, personally, whatever the subject matter is.

If a person is going to be defined at all then I think their biological sex should be a matter of record. But then, I think the GRA should be repealed altogether. Giving falsehoods legal status was one of the worse moves ever made by Parliament.

TalkingtoLangClegintheDark · 13/10/2020 11:35

Interesting how none of the comments pointing out this person is not, in fact, female, have been allowed to stand.

The author of the piece goes by the first name of Faith.

I wonder what sex Faith is?
