rogdmum I sincerely hope your daughter manages to find her way through this and accept herself as a girl then as a woman. These court cases will presumably make schools start to question their affirmation of confused children.

On this issue, too much has been pushed on to parents and not onto clinicians and psychologists who have just let the train roll on. If schools had had clear guidance from Tavistock/GUIDS that the affirmation model was not good, instead of standing back at having parents take the brunt and risk alienating children at the worst possible time. We have crowdfunded for this case and yet those who should take major responsibilities for this will be defended by tax payers money. I wonder if a class action by parents against Stonewall and all others who were complicit would ruffle lots of feathers.

It really makes me angry for you parents who have had this burden and what it is doing to your lives. Flowers but just as important Wine

I'm so bloody angry and

The affirmation model is a way of passing the buck, a way of not tackling difficult issues.

It's also worrying that while we are focusing on safeguarding children, were slightly loose sight of that fact that they remain vulnerable to the ideology once they become legal adults. They still need safeguarding.

Irreversible gender-affirmation, surgical or medical should not be carried out on any patients before their mid-20s.

This is a screenshot from a BBC report about diabetes care last year. Why does diabetes care acknowledge the particular challenges of young adults, but not gender dysphoria care?
