you know who you are

And I can't believe they want to mute you because the men who might want in the group may be single dads and believing only women have periods is offensive

In a group about periods
Of all things.

You are not the crazy one!

World's gone mad.

And stupid.

Whatwouldscullydo · 30/09/2020 16:40

I'm gutted I loved the group.

Cannot believe they have fallen .

Another day another pile of nonsense. I hope she's on here and sees she has at one person who doesn't think she's the problem

love posts like this. makes me realise I just don't know what going on and what's the point anyway and I still don't know what FWR stands for. yes middle age has hit and I am effectively now invisible.

wellbehavedwomen · 30/09/2020 16:45

That is completely mad. That poor woman - I hope she does see this, and realises silent watchers are with her all the way.

Whatwouldscullydo · 30/09/2020 16:46

We are all invisible u til they want something from us. Like a baby . Then its ok to know who amd what we are.

Whatwouldscullydo · 30/09/2020 16:46

its bonkers well

She's been rold she needs to leave if she's not happy being inclusive.

Why would a man (other than a trans man who still has periods) want to be in such a group anyway?

And do I want to know the answer?Envy

Whatwouldscullydo · 30/09/2020 16:57

Funnily enough no ones actually said a man would he allowed but they have said a man may be a single dad etc

But obviously everyones a bit confused because man actualky means something so talking about men when you mean a biological female well you can see how easily it gets hard to understand

OP posts:
Whatwouldscullydo · 30/09/2020 16:57

and yes we all know what men would realky join ..

PurpleHoodie · 30/09/2020 17:07

See.

It's things like this that make you realise, GC women are going to have to begin to start up and control these types of social media groups/communities. Not just passively join in (and get kicked off).

I've joined a fb group that takes a very hard line on being female led (due to the nature of the subject. I'm new to it all) and they give no shits about the subject/group remaining female focused. Tis' very refreshing.

Whatwouldscullydo · 30/09/2020 17:09

Yes I mean sonone else just posted about women not knowing their bodies.

And removing the language to describe who has what helps how exactly?

Germaine Greer was right when she said we had no idea how much men hate us.

Whatwouldscullydo · 30/09/2020 17:15

I suppose we shouldn't be surprised i mean there have been plenty of threads about just this kind of stuff.

There's another one running today that's even worse .

OP posts:
thelikelylass · 30/09/2020 17:15

funny thing is, if most of us women spoke to one of these people face to face they'd soon shut their mouths if we stood our ground but why the fuck should we have to? I am getting angrier by the day and by god there is a growing movement here of utterly fucked off women feeling that men are shutting us down, these men would be humiliated if most of us could get at them!

DeRigueurMortis · 30/09/2020 17:16

She's been rold she needs to leave if she's not happy being inclusive

This is the bit that really annoys me.

The whole point of these type of groups is to facilitate a place where people who share a common interest/goal/sport/experience etc can converge.

By their very nature they are not inclusive in the sense the value is derived from a shared narrative/experience/interest, something that is eroded if the relevant premise for entry into the group is eroded.

No one would bat an eyelid if the admins of group about golf rejected potential new members who were football fans with no interest in or understanding of golf. No one would say "we need to be more inclusive and let the football fans join even if they derail the focus of the group".

No, they'd say this is a group for golf and if you want to talk about football then by all means start your own group.

The football fans wouldn't scream and shout because their identity as sports fans was being erased by the golfers.

This isn't about inclusiveness. It's about women being asked to validate men who get kicks from eroding women's spaces - both physically and online.

There's absolutely no reason why someone with XY chromosomes would have any reason to join a group on periods unless it was for the purposes of fetishising.

Women know that yet they are then expected to continue to post knowing a random bloke is getting kicks from their experiences.

It's sickening.

Whatwouldscullydo · 30/09/2020 17:18

I don't know if any men are in the group , I'm.assuming most people are being on the defensive about transmen who of course should be included.

But the fact that it wouldn't flag up as suspicious to sone of them if a man did decide to join, that's what worries me. Becuase we know what that will really be about. Even if they don't

OP posts:
Whatsnewpussyhat · 30/09/2020 17:20

It's because they infiltrate and become mods.
I keep getting ads to join GC groups on FB but not sure I'd trust anyone not to use people's info to dox.

Whatwouldscullydo · 30/09/2020 17:24

Yes I really want to join one but you just can't be sure can you .

This stuff causes a pile on in seconds one you can't realky follow due to clouded language...you end up completely unsure about any of it.

I don’t know what FWR means either and I’ve been lurking for months now. I guessed maybe For Women’s Rights? 🤷‍♀️

wellbehavedwomen · 30/09/2020 18:44

I think it's Feminism and Women's Rights - and dates from the days, back when t'was all fields round here, when that was what this part of the site was called? But could be misremembering.

JoodyBlue · 30/09/2020 19:14
