Basically the panel insisted black women’s influence over black men is the cause for the violence against trans and should be stopped by black women. Lipstickalley + some of Twitter disagree but this is coming from an actor from a well-known show! (It ain’t exactly a hit seeing the low ratings)

I’m glad some of the comments on Lsa acknowledge the sadness of black feminists taking their side.

Yet abloodygain women are held responsible for what men do.
FFS. When will men be responsible for their choice to be violent, or to cheat for that matter, or any other action or lack of action. No, it's women's fault every time.

And we're told we don't need feminism anymore. 🙄

Fuck sake.

There's no difference between incels and TRAs. They love playing the blame game, but when it comes to it they won't bother mentioning the one thing they should be aka male violence.

I can't imagine this thread will be long for this world but whilst it's here:

Angelica Ross was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, then raised to the north in nearby Racine.[3] Ross, a trans woman, has said she was perceived as feminine from a young age.[1][4] In 1998, when she was seventeen, she came out as gay to her mother, an evangelical Christian. Her mother did not receive the news well as, according to Ross, "she told me I should commit suicide or she would, because she couldn't have someone like me as her child."[1][5] Ross considered ending her own life and overdosed on medication but survived.[1][4]

That's disgusting.

I didn't realise that LipstickAlley comments could call transwomen "he" - there are some fantastic replies on that thread including (and I'm paraphrasing because the original comment would not be allowed here):

"Here we go again! How about they have a panel of men : How to stop Men who hit other ... See how easy that was to leave us women out of the conversation that we have nothing to do with?"

It isn't the job of any woman to be responsible for any man's violence.

In fact that entire thread is an eyeopener (and I'm only half way through). It's really making me realise how little we are allowed to say here and wonder how LipstickAlley isn't the "most transphobic site on the web" because it's certainly a heck of a lot more vocal than here!
