Does anyone know if their changing rooms are mixed sex or single sex?

The local store has a shared changing room entrance. If there's a member of staff on duty, they direct women to one side and men to the other. But there's no sign up to say this, and half the time no staff in sight.

Also to note, victim was 16, so legally a child not a woman as reported in that article. I can’t seem to find contact info to ask them to change it.

So here is yet another incidence where mixed sex changing rooms has led to girls being collateral damage.

Does anyone find the wording a bit strange? They teenage girl at the beginning then they keep referring her as a female. She is, and I think this language is how police talk to each other, but in journalistic language I found it odd that they kept referring to her as a female instead of a girl, which she is.
