Of Course it's Another Virulent Misogynist

I don't know if this crime has been covered in the U.K., but over the weekend the son and husband of the first female Latina judge to sit on the federal bench in New Jersey were shot by a man pretending to be a FedEx driver delivering a package. Her son, and only child died and her husband was seriously injured. The judge herself was unharmed. Was it a drug cartel? Was it tied to the Jeffrey Epstein case? A violent criminal? No--they were shot by a man who was viciously misogynistic and who had written books on how much he loathed females and "feminazis". He was a prominent "men's rights" attorney. He apparently had cancer so decided to destroy her life before he killed himself. So many of these pathetic losers in the world...

So sorry to post twice--stupid phone. How do I contact the mods to remove one of them?

Just report your op on the other thread and ask them to remove it.

I hadn't heard of this crime, horrible.

Sorry for the confusing thread situation. I requested that the duplicate be deleted, but then the remaining thread didn't work. At any rate, this is the official thread now.

The suspect had a file on another female judge in New York in his car. She's lucky that he committed suicide before moving on to her. A leader of the men's rights movement in the U.S. was murdered not long ago--the police are looking into whether this suspect killed him too, though why he would kill one of his fellow travelers is unknown.
It is obvious that, despite repeated attacks on women, the violence and hatred of the incel and men's rights movements is mostly ignored.

I’ve just read a news report on this. It is absolutely horrifying. That poor family.

NotTerfNorCis · 21/07/2020 15:55

Not sure why my comment was deleted. It was a link to the Guardian. The murderer is being widely described as a 'men's rights activist'.

FloralBunting · 21/07/2020 16:03

NotTerf, might be worth asking MNHQ.

This is an appalling case. Horrifying.

CatandtheFiddle · 21/07/2020 16:52

Oh god, that is awful. Just awful.

TransScandal · 21/07/2020 17:25

Omg that's awful 😔

happydappy2 · 21/07/2020 17:38

So cruel, that he shot her son, to deliberately hurt her whilst also ending that innocent mans life. Awful.

Soubriquet · 21/07/2020 17:39

That is awful

Extremely sickening

DandyMandy · 21/07/2020 17:42

Absolutely disgusting. I'm sure excuses will be made about how "mentally ill" this male was because they're all such victims, right? My thoughts are with the judge and her family.

The Courts are against you on this one with guidelines being issued for the sentencing of those suffering mental illness.

Designed to upset the righteous

Stripesgalore · 22/07/2020 14:22

He can’t be sentenced. He shot himself.

DulciUke · 22/07/2020 14:30

The men's rights activist who was shot in California also was killed by someone posing as a FedEx driver, which is quite the coincidence.

One of the shock jock radio shows in the U.S. had the killer on a few years back. I listened to the interview (after the murder)--the hosts are (not surprisingly for that format) fairly misogynistic themselves and even they found him too much. They mocked and ridiculed him. He offered to duel them in Peru, because supposedly dueling is legal there.

Oh my gosh that poor woman. And her poor son. Killed because someone was enraged by the idea of a woman judge. I'm sure the fact she is Hispanic will also have contributed.

This appears to be the same sort of mindset as family annihilation. It's hard to understand how anyone can deny toxic masculinity when this kind of thing happens in the world.

Stripesgalore · 22/07/2020 14:57

He had written a great deal about her, both racist and misogynistic stuff.

She had never done anything to him personally or professionally. The only court case she presided over involving him went in his favour.

So he really has just gone after her and her family based on sex and race. I hope it gets wider coverage in connection with the current anti-racist movements.
