Her book why women are blamed for everything is self publishing and has now been picked up by a big publisher. She is represented by the Blair Partnership. Hope the link works.

Wonderful news. What a good person JK Rowling is.

SulisMinerva · 20/07/2020 13:42

Great news for her! It’s a book that deserves to be widely read.

CaveMum · 20/07/2020 13:50

Yay! I purchased two copies direct from her website a few weeks ago and they arrived over the weekend, can’t wait to get started on one, and find a good home to donate the other one to.

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 20/07/2020 13:57

Oh I'm thrilled for her. I already have the book but lockdown blues have meant I've been reading light fic, I need to get onto this one now.

That’s brilliant! I already bought a copy and whilst I haven’t finished it yet I’m impressed at how accessible she has made it yet whilst remaining academically robust.

Brilliant news!

I am doing her online course which is free for victims of abuse. It is really good. I have got the reflective journal too. I think she is brilliant and I am pleased that she is getting support from JKR.

It also shows that they think there is massive demand for the book and that it is not a bad thing to be associated with JKR dispute what some people are saying.

Wow! I saw it had been picked up by a publisher but didn't know about the JKR connection. Well done, Jess, and that's such a fantastic thing for JKR to do.

wellbehavedwomen · 20/07/2020 17:22

They're both amazing women, standing absolutely solidly for other women, and dealing with horrific abuse and misogynistic rage for it. I'm thrilled that this book is getting the wider readership it deserves.

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 20/07/2020 17:56

Ive got the book.

It's not an easy read. I have to keep stopping to rage at everything.

Same thing happened with Caroline Criado Perez'

Delighted to see this news. It is a book which could help idiots people understand why GC views are not anti-trans, but pro-female-safety-and-dignity.

SunsetBeetch · 20/07/2020 18:19

Oh that's brilliant! That's sisterhood.

ScrimpshawTheSecond · 20/07/2020 18:57

Saw this earlier. Brilliant that Jessica Taylor is doing so well, and fantastic that JKR has helped her. In awe of them both.
