I don't understand why he hasn't used it to promote his usual storyline though (although he obviously was the one to go to the newspaper about it.

Can't stand Harrop but this is a shitty thing to happen to him. It's rife round there though.

I’m not terribly clear on how blocking people on Twitter works. I don’t have an account but occasionally read other people’s. I can’t see Harrop’s today, is it visible to the rest of you? I don’t see how he could block me when I don’t have an account.

You are absolutely right. I'm just a cynic. My own tyres were slashed in the same area. Night shift too. I didn't feel it necessary to rush to the Echo. I'll send him a scented candle as a gesture.

Glittertoast, are you familiar with him & his works? He has made a bit of a media presence out of his clear and ready disgust for women.

Just had a second look at the link: this is Adrain A Harrop, I assume the actual Dr H has no middle initial?

I think he's building up a victim profile for sympathy points. Something useful for further down the line, like a GMC inquiry. Not that I condone the attack, but as others have pointed out; it's hardly newsworthy.

This is about Caroline Farrow. She has been targetted by TRAs, the latest is continually sending her Just Eat orders. Just Eat asked her to get the police involved and they would not do the forensic investigation as they said it was not proportional to the response, she had tweeted about this in the past couple of days so his tweets are a response to her.

For those who don't know, Caroline Farrow is a Catholic journalist who has been campaigning on gender issues for a while.

But, at the same time, he is just another sad misogynist with an internet connection? He's best ignored.

Only an egotist would contact the press over something like this. Twitter clearly wasn't enough.

I've had my tyres slashed, car keyed, paint splashed on the bonnet too, when we lived/parked in quite rough parts of town. I didn't go to the press about it. I wonder what would motivate one to do so?

How has everyone missed that he drove all the way home thinking he had a puncture ?
He put himself and other road users in danger, IMO driving knowing your car is damaged and potentially dangerous is along the same lines as driving while you're impaired

@NotAGirl ...don't some fancy cars have sort of emergency tyres in their other tyres? I think that's a real thing. I wouldn't know, my Kia Picanto doesn't even have a clock or electric or central locking haha!

I wondered if he is looking for money as the BBC have a story up about a pregnant NHS worker whose windows got smashed and a stranger offered to pay for the damage...I think the story was about the offer to pay more than the damage.

Poor chap. At least it was only two tyres, and he managed to drive home on them. I thought if you left your car around some places, you came back to find it on bricks. So it could have been worse. He still had the wheels.

He's a recently qualified GP and self-appointed champion of transgenderism. Also misogynistic and staggeringly pompous. There have been many, many complaints to the GMC about his conduct on Twitter towards GC women - bullying, doxxing, threatening.

He's best ignored, except for posting the video of him getting his arse handed to him by a woman as often as possible

I don't think these kinds of threads are particularly useful, especially as I saw it turn up on twitter yesterday as an example of MN being desperate to find any angle.
