I love this! I studied philosophy a long time ago now, and I got very frustrated with so much of it, with post structuralism and post modernism, I could hardly understand half of what I read. And in the end my big take away was that most of this complex theory simply didn't matter to the reality being lived by most people in the world. That while there was a place and a reason for theoretical and academic wondering and study, it simply didn't MATTER tonso many people because reality just fucking exists at the end of the day. People get hurt, murdered, go hungry, go to prison, be homeless, have babies. There are material realities in people's lives.
And I get so utterly fed up reading these inane Twitter threads where people wang on about sex spectrums and mocking people with school level biology, and I just think how nauseating, how dismissive and rude to suggest that someone needs a degree in fucking quantum physics and another one in biology to understand that there are two sexes. To know - TO KNOW - how babies are made.
So hooray for this article. It is pretty much what I think and its nice to see it written down!
