Anyone remember the great mouse detective film for kids?

Just realised that Ratigan reminds me a lot about the tantrum throwing activists. Happy to be corrected if I’m wrong but my thinking is he was a rat that was in denial and used fear to make the mice never call him a rat and if they did they were harmed and he became angry etc. Also, rat is in his name but I guess you were meant to ignore that lol

Basil?

Well no, not basil. I’m on about ratigan the specific character. One thing claiming to be another and no one is allowed to point that out for fear of being harmed. Kind of like trans activists today. But it’s that film, yes.

Sorry it was early (after wine) o’clock and I was thinking ‘basil the rat detective - has he been cancelled too?’

You’re grand lol. No I don’t think it has. It I adore the film and just musing in my own head the other night and noticed the connection. He was basically trans mouse lol

I appreciate and understand your views but if you can’t get through a Disney kids film without making links like this then I think you have issues.

Sorry? Where did I say I can’t get through a film without thinking of this? I haven’t watched the film in about a year, never made the connection any of those times. It’s a film I’ve loved since I was a kid and still do, and I was just reading about trans issues the other day and then thought of it. How is that me not being able to watch a kids film without thinking about trans issues? Are you okay?
