I left Mumsnet (having been here for 14 years previously) at the beginning of Lockdown, as a bit of a break from social media, but I've just rejoined in order to voice my 6 for @Glinner, and the feminist boards here - I have learnt a huge amount from both, sometimes I might not 100% agree, but I value the space for argument and the eloquence and intelligence of the voices here, including Glinner.

That's a bit odd--maybe MNHQ is being cautious about new registrations.

Maybe, which is fair enough...when I was here before I was pmed and called a 'nazi who should die in a fire', by a 'new joiner', so I understand the caution!

However my fury was enough to drag me back over here, so I needed to say my piece!

Bupkis massive infestation so maybe MN is just being cautious but nothing’s been said!? Maybe try again as I know at least one thread was shut down, but has since reopened.

May be just unlucky timing?

Afaik only glinners original thread was locked.

Ok, just tested on a Glinner thread and it's now letting me post, whereas earlier I couldn't!
Hopefully it is just a sign of sensible caution!
