The word "groomer" banned on twitter and MN?

I read on Glinner's thread that his twitter account got suspended for using the word groomer, as in a person that grooms someone for sexual abuse.
Is that term truly banned on twitter now, and if so why? Some posters also wrote that they had been deleted for using the word on MN.
What is going on?

Depends if the word was applied to a person I would guess

We shouldn't have to guess. Are the new rules stated somewhere?
This is VERY alarming.

More invisible rules? I hope not.

I discovered this a few weeks ago on a thread about a particular individual. People had their posts deleted for saying that this person was grooming children by encouraging them to think that being used for sex by older men was a normal and even aspirational lifestyle for teenagers.

People were talking about the 'g' word. I was astonished when I discovered what this unmentionable word was.
