What to put in letter to MP

I want to write to my (Conservative) MP to support the decision not to go ahead with the Gender Recognition Act amendment. However I'm not sure how to phrase things.

Is there a letter template somewhere that I can use as a starting point?

Thanks

Yes me too, I’ve written one but it’s not very concise!

This thread was started by someone who actually works for an MP and offers some useful advice on this very subject, plus there are lots of informed posts that might help.

The general consensus seems to be to keep in concise and speak about how this would impact you or those in your local community.

It might make sense to refer to the Newsnight programme which has just been aired - very worrying for any parent with a gender-nonconforming child or indeed anyone who thinks evidence-based medicine is important!

Thank you to everyone one here. I will try to make the email personal. I've already been and lobbied my MP about the environment and am not convinced it made much difference but this is worth a try.
