Has this been posted yet - I couldn't see it?

It's a very thorough summary of why Stonewall's proposed schools' toolkit needs to be carefully examined.

Wow. Talk about sprung.

Wonder what will happen.

merrymouse · 12/06/2020 15:38

Thank you Baroness Nicholson!

BitterAndOnlySlightlyTwisted · 12/06/2020 15:49

My god, she’s good!

Cuntysnark · 12/06/2020 16:21

I am so grateful she’s taken this on. She’s unstoppable.

Sanddancer99 · 12/06/2020 16:24

Just a point of clarification. As stated in page 2 of her letter, the Factsheets that Baroness Nicholson discusses were produced by the LGBT Consortium (not Stonewall). I suggest the title of this thread should be amended for accuracy.

Divoc2020 · 12/06/2020 16:26

@Sanddancer99 - Thanks, I misread that. I'll ask MN to amend!

TheShoesa · 12/06/2020 16:28

She has really got this, hasn't she?

Liking that factsheet is written as "factsheet" throughout

truthisarevolutionaryact · 12/06/2020 16:30

An excellent letter nailing some of the torrent of untruths, gaslighting and grooming of children currently happening in schools. Let's hope that others are following this up.

SarahTancredi · 12/06/2020 16:37

Will anyone be contacting schools asking them to ignore any literature from these organisations or will it be down to schools to do their own research which is unlikely to really happen isnt it?

Stonewall is the go to place for schools. Its certainly going to be hard for parents to contact schools and get the association removed.

I contacted dd1s school about another organisation the best they did was cross through the link but leave it up and it still works Hmm

PronounssheRa · 12/06/2020 16:55

This is indoctrination, not education

Those 5 words nail it.

rogdmum · 12/06/2020 17:04

I was very pleased to see this letter. She has encapsulated the issue around affirmation only policies at schools over watchful waiting and also highlighted that even GIDS doesn’t recommend social transition before being seen by them. It’s such a relief to see someone finally start to tackle this.

RuffleCrow · 12/06/2020 17:13

So glad to see her shedding light on this. Thank god the world still has some people capable of thinking methodically and logically.

NonnyMouse1337 · 12/06/2020 17:14

That is an excellent letter!

CourtneyLurve · 12/06/2020 18:29

The Baroness gives me genuine hope. Thank you.

Michelleoftheresistance · 12/06/2020 18:45

Well done Baroness, I look forward very much to seeing the government try and put the bolted horse back in the stable. Because legally they are going to have to.

OvaHere · 12/06/2020 18:54

Very well put together. She's very good at this policy stuff.

Bananabixfloof · 12/06/2020 18:59

She is just sooo impressive. I've emailed her a few times now but I know she is busy so I don't want to keep on emailing my thanks.
I think I shall send a card, and keep hoping for some kind of meet up that I could attend.

LangClegTheBeardedVulture · 12/06/2020 19:13

Can someone post the text of the letter as it’s too small for me to read on my phone

Jux · 12/06/2020 22:05

Could someone link to the letter (not on Twitter) as I can't read it - too small, and no matter what I do with the print size or page size I can't make it readable. It just gets so out of focus that it's impossible! Thank you.

DirtyDeeds · 13/06/2020 20:15

I can’t read it either

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 13/06/2020 20:24

I WANT to read it, but my eyes are feeble.

This is good. I'd like to see more sunlight shone on the very questionable SRE materials being shoved into schools.

ethelredonagoodday · 17/06/2020 15:32

Good. I also mentioned this issue in my email to my MP, following the article in the Sunday Times.
