Loughborough University Womens Network seeking "self identifying women" candidates

Have blanked out the detail. I was involved briefly 4 years ago and still had them on my FB.

I'm too scared of losing my FB account to post or message.

I've unfollowed but it's been eating away at me since I saw it.

Can someone more knowledgeable or important please contact them or the university or what can be done?

That info is openly on their Facebook group, and their website proclaims:
"Hello! We are a group of self-identifying women passionate about women’s rights and equality between all genders! Collectively we are an association within the Welfare and Diversity section at Loughborough Students’ Union (LSU). " (my emphasis)

So they are consistent at least.

Wouldn’t it be good if lots of men could #WomanWednesday and apply?

I’m imagining a network of GC men swamping these organisations every time they advertise this way.

Using your emphasis, we have potentially a bunch of men (self IDing as women, no GRC needed so I’m not misgendering!) sitting around taking about equality between all genders of men (transgender, gender neutral, non-binary, agender, pangender, genderqueer, two-spirit, third gender, and all, none or a combination of these)?

Identifying as another race / ethnicity, or identifying as disabled or identifying as a completely different age range are a no no, but identifying as a woman is totally ok. All welcome. 🙄

But actually Nonny, look at this UCU statement, it is perfectly acceptable to self ID in most of those categories, apparently!

What a time to be alive! I don't know why people don't just identify out of their problems and oppressions. Easy peasy. 🙄

I’m sick of being old. I think that Dutch bloke had the right idea! From now on I’m identifying as being 25. Percent be been 25, so I know how it feels, so that gives me considerable authenticity to live as my real (young) self.

Not only will being 25 keep me out of the nursing home for another fifty years, I’ll be eligible for all kinds of competitions and scholarships again.

Don’t know why thus didn’t occur to me years ago; after all, biology is just a social construct and age is just a number.
