"This is my interview with @/triggerpod. One important clarification: the 78% refers to overall conviction rate for VAWG offences in 2018 - 2019 (it was 79%). The conviction rate for rape specifically in the same year was 63.4%. Still v high - but mea culpa.

"Is Rape Culture a Dangerous Myth?"
Interesting interview. I was particularly struck by:
- his breakdown of statistics on reported rapes and how the numbers "fall away" at different stages in the legal process;
- his concern that rape is currently being re-framed as a sexual act rather than an act of violence.
(I think "fall away" was the term he used - happy to be corrected.)
There were a whole host of controversial views covered in the interview.
