I can't abide the shouty, fast-talking, hyperbolic style of so many American YouTubers. By contrast, Arty Morty is the cuddly neighbourhood gay guy next door who invites you in for a glass of wine and a chat about what is really going on.

This is his most recent video, for those who are concerned about the "trans kids" phenomenon, not ROGD but those really young kids.

It also includes reflections on the motivations of adult transitioners that mirror experiences described in the Trans Widows thread @TinselAngel and the clash between LGB sexualities and "Gender Identity".

Wow, he is really smart. He puts things in a way I have never thought of before. The idea of transsexual children is chilling.

He starts off with the importance of being clear in the language you use. That using ' transgender' or 'trans' implies a change to gender expression, something harmless, positive, progressive. Whereas transing a child is a first step along a road to permanent physical changes- to becoming a transsexual adult. Terms like transgender and trans are cosy euphemisms for something harmful.

Does he actually back up his ideas? I watched the first couple of minutes of the Scientology one, he just made statements about Scientology and said that the same could be said about transgenderism. Then moved on as though he had just proved something. Does it get better than that? I need evidence.

I have seen a couple of his videos and I really like him, he is warm, engaging and has thought the issues through properly.

Morty appears to have noticed the narratives around cleaning / purging the "true self" of "blockages" / bad karma / repressed memories trapped in the body / real life and invisible psychic parasites / false gender identities that are a common preoccupation of brainwashed cult followers.

Another very obvious comparison is with the use of bentonie clay, ostensibly to cleanse the bowel of rotting, carcinogenic faecal material trapped within the bowel. Be careful about googling for this as there are images you cannot unsee once seen.

The consumption of bentonie clay generates long, stringy, disgusting appearing snake like ropes of shit that enthusiasts claim are evidence of rotting meat and intestinal parasites. The thing is that that if you don't consume the clay you don't shit out these vile excretions. The excretions are an iatrogenic effect of the clay consumption and nothing else.

This obsession with ridding the body of bad, contaminating, undesirable stuff and creating a new, clean, awakened, authentic body is central to the Co$, skin whitening creams, the trans cult, various new age cults and even to many of the racist and xenophobic discourses around Brexit.

Back to Morty, I like him. He reminds me of a dear gay friend I lost to AIDS many years ago, friendly, warm, clever.

I think there are many more gay men like him who are have valuable insights into how an ampowering movement valuing inclusivity and fighting prejudice became perverted into something oppressive and sinister.

Hopefully Morty's courage will help more of them to step up to the plate and share their insights and perspectives.

The bentonite clay treatments are not, as far as I know, anything to do with the Co$

My point is that the detox narrative, so often associated with various models of quackery and snake oil, is central to the Co$ and trans cult narratives, both of which, as Morty identified, are to do with ridding yourself of unwanted false, violating elements so that the true, authentic self can exist. In the Co$ it's those pesky thetans - get rid of them and you'll be "clear". In the trans narratives various body parts must be removed surgically or bound until they are hidden, thus unleashing the true gender from the unwanted "wrong body" you were born into.

Of course many would question wether thetans really exist or whether people can really be "born into the wrong body" and, as Morty correctly states, such questions are met with fury and intollerance.

In the trans cult anyone who questions the prevalent discourse is a "terf" or "transphobic" and likely to be doxxed and no-platformed. In the Co$ they are deemed "suppressive persons" and subjected to "fair game"

These same discourses around getting rid of the "bad" / false you so thta the "good" "authentic" you can shine through is, of course, to be found in skin whitening creams

People risk their health and even their lives, harm their bodies, which are beautiful as they are and not in need of bleaching just because they feel that having whiter skin is better and a truer reflection of their inner selves.

It is heartbreaking

Selling oppressesd people a dream that they can become their authentic self by hurting themselves is a long time business model. The tobacco industry has been doing it for decades. It is of course an outrage

From what I’ve seen of his videos, Arty comes across as a thoughtful, gentle soul - I very much enjoy his videos and the contributions he makes in the video series he’s in with Glinner and Helen Staniland.

Arty has spoken movingly about how he was not a very masculine boy growing up and is not a very masculine gay man; I also find his understanding and analysis of LGBT history & politics interesting. And I admire his decision to stand up for the rights of women, children, and LGB people negatively affected by gender identity ideology.

Sadly, Aiden Comerford and his supporters have decided they want to harass Arty and have started mass complaining about Arty having an account on BuyMeACoffee.com. It’s my understanding that ArtyMorty isn’t able to work at the moment because of Covid lockdown measures affecting his industry. Attacking a person’s means of support (during a pandemic or at any time), because you disagree with that person’s views and activism, seems vicious and mean spirited to me. I hope that Comerford & Co are unsuccessful.

It is terrifying isn't it?

Unfortunately I am going through something similar at the moment, nothing to do with the Co$ (at least as far as I know) but just standing up to bullies as best I can and being on the receiving end of all manner of abuse and false allegations.

It has gotten quite serious recently which is one of hte reasons why I haven't been posting much of late

My heart goes out to anyone going through anything like this, it is something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy
