I think this is the worst thing I've seen on IWD 2020

This transwoman calls us bitches and tells us that they now "run this shit". Then in the next tweet, people who don't like this are told they can "suck my dick from the back". And in the comments are people saying things like "Ignore all the transphobic comments!" and "I love your hair!"

Sadly, nothing surprises me.

theflushedzebra · 08/03/2020 22:00

Grim, but this is what a lot of males think. That they are in charge of women, and increasingly, womanhood itself.

We had a transwoman barge into my thread on IWD telling us off.

LynnSchmob · 08/03/2020 22:01

I think this is the majority view with TRAs.

anonymousLangFan · 08/03/2020 22:02

So, they want IWD.

In addition to

  • International Day Against Transphobia (May 17)
  • International Pronouns Day (3rd Wednesday in October)
  • International Transgender Day of Visibility (March 31)
  • LGBT History Month (nowadays more T History Month) (February or October, depending on country, or why not both!)
  • LGBT Pride Month (also now all about the T) (June)
  • National Coming Out Day (Oct 11)
  • Spirit Day (3rd Thursday in October, about LGBTQ+ kids)
  • Stonewall Riots Anniversary (Marsha P. Johnson day) (June 28)
  • Trans Parent Day (First Sunday in November)
  • Transgender Awareness Week (Second week of November)
  • Transgender Day of Remembrance (Nov 20)
  • International Drag Day (July 16)

Did I miss any?

Cuntysnark · 08/03/2020 22:05

Well that lays it out beautifully. Our erasure surely has to be the modus operandi

Polynerd · 08/03/2020 22:07

We could be talking about femicide, FGM, sex selection. Instead (as ever) we are being told to suck dick.

CodenameVillanelle · 08/03/2020 22:09

I bet plenty of the cheerleaders are women too

Throughthegate · 08/03/2020 22:11

I don't understand how you can suck a dick from the back, or how that makes it worse than doing it from the front? Is it because you can't see the face from the back, which would be a Bad Thing presumably.
I think the force of a threat is a bit lost when you don't actually understand what it means.

Sheheshee · 08/03/2020 22:19

How about this for a very close second. Charlie Craggs (transwoman) saying that International Women’s Day isn’t for ‘women like her’ but for ‘old dried up middle class white hags with dry skin and hair’. Suzanne Moore gets laid into for her recent article but mostly for not coming up to Charlie’s exacting standards of make-up and hair - she’s a manicurist you see. She’s also written a book and campaigns against transphobia, Stonewall Champion etc... Some of the comments on the Twitter and Instagram posts that feature this text are vile and misogynistic. See a pattern emerging? I can’t think why we shouldn’t be welcoming both these transwomen to IWD - they bring so much to the party!

I think this is the worst thing I've seen on IWD 2020
OvaHere · 08/03/2020 22:21

It's definitely in the running for worst.

Can I also nominate

Peter Tatchell - called us non- transwomen

Avery Edison - made reference to women and cis women

Ellie Mae O' Hagen - wished a happy IWD to transwomen and only transwomen (extra level dick pandering there)

Morgane Ogre - some guff about women needing determination and control over their bodies and their lives (No NOT you women in a rape crisis refuge obviously)

tobee · 08/03/2020 22:24

Well I certainly know that a lot of men share that tweets message.

T0tallyFuckedUpFamily · 08/03/2020 22:49

I think Avery Edison was taking the piss, though if you didn’t know her humour, I can understand your reaction. It’s a piss take on how male bodied people insist on being in the middle of all women’s celebrations.

Thinkofanumber · 08/03/2020 22:49

Here’s another beauty from today’s twitter.

I just can’t even...

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 08/03/2020 22:52

I mean, let's be honest, in all likelihood the only thing that person runs is "for a bus". Overcompensation is awfully funny to observe.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 08/03/2020 22:55

They wouldn't drop it. How else could they be most oppressed and special?

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 08/03/2020 23:00

FYI, Avery Edison is a penis having person who once wrote an article complaining about how unfair it was that a woman they were seeing wouldn't allow them to insert said penis into her fanjo. Avery may also identify as a comedian.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 08/03/2020 23:02

Also, I think it was Avery who was very offended that said penis was compared to a man's penis. Different mouthfeel, or something. And no I don't think that was a clever parody.

Siameasy · 08/03/2020 23:10

The TRAs don’t surprise me. The handmaidens do. The apparently educated, leftie, women
I got called a TERF by another woman on a post about IWD. In a PARENTING GROUP. My crime-to wish for an end to gender.

Dances · 08/03/2020 23:24

Fuck them. They are going for land grab and they know they are losing.

Hold the line and puuuuuuuuul

user764329056 · 08/03/2020 23:30

Hear hear, Dances 👏🏼

Kantastic · 09/03/2020 00:02

don't understand how you can suck a dick from the back, or how that makes it worse than doing it from the front?

I think it might be a failed variant on the Irish saying "lick the back of them" which makes much more anatomical sense. Though I suppose when you think of it, anatomical sense isn't a hallmark of TRAs. Maybe this person's head identifies as a penis.

testing987654321 · 09/03/2020 00:05

International Transgender Day of Visibility (March 31)

Surely this is every day?

Oldstyle · 09/03/2020 00:39

Maybe this person's head identifies as a penis
Thanks for that. My first laugh in a long 24 hours of International trans women and some of those other womxn people provided they mostly focus on meeee Day. What a complete sell-out / shit-show.

JustTurtlesAllTheWayDown · 09/03/2020 04:20

Another contender. The video shows a man punching at the camera followed by a woman trying to pull him away. What is wrong with people? 2200 likes too.

MoleSmokes · 09/03/2020 05:37

anonymousLangFan - thank you for that list. Just in case anyone misses one, there will be another one along before not too long!

There are a few more here:

List of LGBT awareness periods - Wikipedia

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_LGBT_awareness_periods

Damn! Just missed "Aromantic Spectrum Awareness Week"

  • The first full week after 14 February
  • started 2014
  • Week to promote information and awareness about aromantic spectrum identities and the issues they face.

Never mind, here is something to look forward to! It will soon be "Day of Silence"

  • April
  • started 1996
  • Day varies from year to year; GLSEN's Day of Silence is an organizing tool to end the silencing effect of anti-LGBT bias. "Students take a day-long vow of silence to symbolically represent the silencing of LGBTQ students." Confused

That last one does seem to be entirely honoured in the breach rather than the observance - can't imagine why!
