That's disgusting Angry Those poor women.

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 16/02/2020 17:50

It beggars belief. Just one more in a long list of horrific reports posted by Geeta Pandey.

ThinEndoftheWedge · 16/02/2020 17:51

Barbaric and abuse

FrogsFrogs · 16/02/2020 17:51

Yes read this earlier thank you for posting.

Really shocking. Given the views in the article seems like a long haul. Women in India have been working so hard. It's such a huge place, the mind boggles tbh about how to effect change. Just keep at it I think. These women did and look at the reaction. So brave.

FrogsFrogs · 16/02/2020 17:52

I say that as someone who is in UK, easy for me to say keep at it...

GinnyLane · 16/02/2020 17:55

Sent this link to my sister earlier today.

Shocking. Just... shocking.

All the while, in privileged societies, we worry that an hypothetical someone might be offended by the concept of female menstruation. Come at me from the period hut, bro.

SharpieInThe · 16/02/2020 17:58

That's horrific.

How brave of those women to refuse to sign. It must feel like battling a million men all by yourself.

DryHeave · 16/02/2020 17:59

And we (well some people) worry about the Venus symbol on menstrual products.

RuffleCrow · 16/02/2020 18:05

It's two sides of the same misogynistic coin @ginnylane

SophocIestheFox · 16/02/2020 18:26

That’s vile.

I have been quizzed about whether I’ve got my period before visiting a Hindu temple. I hadn’t at the time, but if I had, I’d have said that I hadn’t and gone in anyway. Because I don’t care if you’re using your religion to justify your misogyny, it’s still misogyny. Rank woman hating. Fuck. That.

Apollo440 · 16/02/2020 18:35

Another example of what it is to be a woman.

SarahTancredi · 16/02/2020 23:00

Hang on. I complained a few weeks ago about the bbc article written about period poverty that doubt mentioned the words women or girl once.

Yet here we have daughter, women, her

More than once Confused

Well BBC should we just tell them they can become men and identify out this bullshit?
