Aside from the fact that this series has had me in stitches at times, I really sat up during season 2 for Aimee’s storyline about sexual assault on public transportation and was interested to see how her friends come together to offer support. At one point, they find themselves in detention, on suspicion of slut-shaming their teacher. She tells them to make a presentation about what they have in common. The conclusion? Non-consensual penises. Every girl has a story of assault (in the pool, on the bus, ...). The next morning they all turn up at the bus stop after Aimee decides she finally has had enough of walking to school.
In that same episode, the main character Otis wants to buy the morning-after pills for Lily with whom he had a one-night stand. The chemist tersely informs him that she can’t sell it to him “because you don’t have a vagina”.
Sex Ed has covered everything from pansexual, bisexual, one-night stands, gay sex, vaginism, teen pregnancies, abortion, etc.
Interested to see what Season 3 will bring. Can’t think what they haven’t covered yet.
