Anyone watching? I'm shocked that this group of women are 'scared' of stopping shaving for a mere 6 weeks.

I'm late 30s. No way I'm going bald. Have done waxing in the past, once went the full Brazilian, hated it. I looked like a child. Plus the regrowth, argh!

I now tidy up when I'm going to go swimming or something, I will shave the sides but there's no way I'm getting rid of the hair in the middle.

DH doesn't care much either way. I wouldn't be in a relationship with someone who thought my body hair was dirty or disgusting.

Just watched it. Pleased the young women were more comfortable with their pubic hair but now they need to be comfortable with their own eyelashes and fingernails. They looked so artificial and it seemed such hard work, and I'm not convinced showing the world your pudenda is really a feminist act. It sounded as though that was how they made their money though and they seemed happy and looked a healthy BMI not half starved. I'm getting old though and am not really sure what an influencer is. I was influenced by Simone de Beauvoir and Germaine Greer but this seems different.

I agree - no pubic hair looks awful and actually feels awful. Much clammier (sorry, tmi).

But what a to-do! Who'd have thunk you could even make a TV programme about this?

Goosefoot · 29/01/2020 22:54

I have come to believe you can make a tv program about anything.

Cwenthryth · 29/01/2020 22:58

Sounds interesting might give it a watch on catchup :)

I’m au naturale, I just CBA with it all. Discussed it with DP once who said “as long as he can find what he’s looking for he doesn’t mind” Grin. Love him, he’s a keeper.

Nomorechips · 29/01/2020 23:03

Agree with Goosefoot

BitOfFun · 29/01/2020 23:08

Off on a tangent, but 2Rebecca's post about the sheer effort and expense of "grooming" reminds me of this sign I saw today which made me chuckle...what happens if you only have a tenner? Do you get one foot and one hand done? Grin

The retro full bush look is making a comeback.

Thankyou ladies, fro reassuring me. I always keep some hair but do try to trip but yes infections are common, and it gets itchy. I could not/will not go bald like a porn star or my 12 year daughter.

Gingerkittykat · 31/01/2020 00:43

Loving the hypocrisy of the fat, doughy, middle-aged man who demanded his partner went hair free because that's how it looks in porn but had never removed his own pubes.

I hope no woman ever lets him near their pubic region, shaved or not.
