Dorset Police using Stonewall logo & strapline on email footers?

From the comments below the the Harry Miller Times article today.
"Last year I received an email from a police employee on their Dorset Police email account. In the footer of the email was Stonewall's logo and strapline."

Can that be true? How can the police possibly claim impartiality while using the logo and slogan of an influential lobbying group in their email footers.

"Lobbying, persuasion, or interest representation is the act of attempting to influence the actions, policies, or decisions of officials...." says Wikipedia.
The Nolan principles of public life - number 2, Integrity:
Holders of public office must avoid placing themselves under any obligation to people or organisations that might try inappropriately to influence them in their work. They should not act or take decisions in order to gain financial or other material benefits for themselves, their family, or their friends. They must declare and resolve any interests and relationships.

Dorset police and every government body, school, organisation and other police force are hopelessly compromised. Stonewall openly hands out awards, hospitality, publicity and freebies in return for people implementing their political demands, eg the removal of sex based rights. No other lobby group is given this access. Why Stonewall?

Do Not get me started on Dorset Fucking Police.

Could not find their own arses with both hands.

important relevent thread:

Government guidance on PHSE recommends Stonewall as the source of LGBT resources for schools. The ship has sailed re regulatory capture.

And as had been mentioned on several threads, the chair of the EHRC is the ex head of Stonewall

There was a thread about Dorset Council, on the very first day their new website was launched they were quoting one of the the protected characteristics as being ‘gender identity’.

I seem to recall I started a thread on it at the time, which I will try and find. They mentioned being a ‘Stonewall Champion’ when I questioned them on it, and did correct it very quickly so I reckon they knew they did not have a leg to stand on.

As to the police, they seem to be very fond of attending ‘trans’ events and do record crimes by ‘gender identity’.

I saw this (on Twitter I think, from an FOI request).

How is the Stonewall Juggernaut going to be stopped though? At what point is some public body going to wake up and realize that Stonewall have misrepresented the law to them and the implications of that?

Could it end with Stonewall being sued? And would anyone be brave enough to bring the case?

MrsSnippyPants · 26/01/2020 18:40

I found the thread but cannot get it to open. Is it working for anyone else? Search term was Dorset council in feminism chat.
i really could do with rereading it as my MP asked me to send him the details.

MrsSnippyPants
Sometimes you have to come out of Advanced search & use google or similar to search the thread title (or keywords) + mumsnet + FWR to open a thread.

MrsSnippyPants · 26/01/2020 19:03

Thanks Rickety and R0
I have never had trouble opening a thread from search before, it was odd. I have on occasion had to use google to find a thread, as search is so rubbish, but I could find it on the search no problem, just couldn't open it (via phone, iPad and laptop, tried all three)

R0wantrees · 26/01/2020 19:30

Its seemed to happen increasingly with FWR threads over the last year. I find it often shows up with an 'oops broken link' type message.
Now I use advance search to find the title of the thread Im looking for & nearly always then come out of MN to search & open it.

  • maybe Im just unlucky? Hmm

So, 5 women have been charged with rape in Dorset in the last 4 years.

I can find one case, after some amateur googling, which could be one of the people charged.

The thing to ask IMO is how many other kinds of government organisations have similar kinds of relationships to non-governmental bodies that do advocacy or lobbying. How many of these organisations offer things like certifications or stamps for best practices, including to government bodies. Could be women's groups, organic farming, environmental groups, fair trade bodies, whatever.

If Maya wins her appeal their lawyers will make them see sense.

GirlDownUnder · 26/01/2020 23:24

It used to be bribes were paid under the table. Seems things have changed somewhat Hmm

TheBewildernessisWeetabix · 26/01/2020 23:36

One of the real eye openers when women organized to inform councils, businesses, and agencies, using a fraudulent list of protected characteristics was that after being provided with a copy of the 2010 Equality Act and a link to the web site there were some who chose to use the fraud as a basis for their policies.
They chose to ignore the truth because it enabled them to discriminate against women.

Lordfrontpaw · 27/01/2020 07:51

The police should have no external agency attached to them (I wonder how much they are being paid to ‘advise’). This is a real conflict of interest - and also deeply sinister.

What if it was the BNP or Britain First?
