What. The. Actual. F*k!How the hell can the UN protect women if they can’t even define them as f*king women!

“The UN agency for women announced last week it is no longer focused on women’s rights but rather “equality of all genders,” including LGBTIQ+.“

I don't think it will pass. There seems to be a lack of support. Hopefully.

That is so bonkers! Both too bonkers to be true (what of this ideology isn't?) yet so bonkers that it's believable in the current climate. So I'd want to see original source material to back it up.

This can only be because all sex-based discrimination against women has ceased. What excellent news to start the New Year.

loveyouradvice · 02/01/2020 20:50

I am deeply confused.

Gender equality (ie equality of the sexes) is NOTHING to do with homosexuality or sexual orientation.... why on earth should they be using the same pot of money??

Absolutely applaud making homosexuality legal in ALL countries - but surely a separate budget and separate remit.... especially since the only figures I have ever seen suggest there are more gay men than lesbian women (never understood why though!)

Michelleoftheresistance · 02/01/2020 21:00

This is letting LGBTQIB&QWTF+ subsume women, which removes all focus or recognition or even naming of the issues specific to the 50% of the human race born with female reproductive capacity.

Why can't the two goals exist alongside each other? Why must one eat the other and vanish it?

Other than spectacularly selfish males who want no part of 'female' remaining that hasn't been removed from females, given to them and redefined to the preferences and best interests of those males? AKA Male Supremacy?

Thelnebriati · 02/01/2020 21:11

It seems to be one person with an agenda. How do people get his much power?

Wonderful. At long last.

I think this decision was taken some time ago. There's an articel about it from July 2019. c-fam.org/friday_fax/un-women-to-replace-women-with-gender/?fbclid=IwAR0DGifOQX8bjauQns5gXG_b7V_RtI_WuzOz5auzax-kvXLy3niOcxXvwm4

It seems to be the mechanism to include trans women as part of their focus.

Quote:

Mlambo-Ngcuka claimed “sexual orientation and gender identity” are core values of the Sustainable Development Goals, signaling that billions in aid meant for women may be redirected if UN agencies take it upon themselves to redefine the internationally-agreed goal of “gender equality” away from women’s rights.

Mlambo-Ngcuka said, “we push the envelope every day” on what constitutes “human rights and fundamental freedoms.” UN member States have rejected the claim that “sexual orientation and gender identity” are a part of any treaty obligation under international law.

Mlambo-Ngcuka admitted a lack of support from the General Assembly but said her agency would push until “equality of all genders becomes the norm.” She said the UN must work to overturn laws in the seventy nations that still do not sanction homosexual sex.

The event was organized by Outright, a homosexual-transgender advocacy organization.

End quote

If you look at their home page the message on there doesn't seem to be quite so obvious. (Which doesn't mean lobbying isnt going on in the background.) www.unwomen.org/en/about-us/about-un-women

I am sure there was a thread about this at the time.

Come now, Michelle, sorely you know the Rules of Misogyny? Particularly the 8th and 12th Rules:

8th rule of misogyny: Men are whatever men say they are and women are whatever men say they are.

12th rule of misogyny: whatever women suffer from, men suffer from more.

Mind you, 13 and 14 also apply in this situation:

13th rule of misogyny: Women are not oppressed! Rape and catcalling and objectification are all compliments, not oppression.

14th rule of misogyny: Women have all the rights they need: The right to remain silent.

ChattyLion · 02/01/2020 23:32

It would be terrible if they adopt this. I really do hope the support isn’t there.

Michelleoftheresistance · 03/01/2020 11:42

She said the UN must work to overturn laws in the seventy nations that still do not sanction homosexual sex.

Great. Please do that. ASAP.

However under the new and improved replacement of women with gender, you will then need to inform the homosexual people in those seventy nations that homosexuality is still wrong and unacceptable and they will be punished for it, because they are recognising that biological sex exists and expressing a sexual orientation based on it.

How the fuck do these idiots not realise the conflicts in what they're saying? You can't protect homosexuality without recognising that sex exists. You can't protect women without recognising that sex exists.

And you can't express disappointment with a culture punishing people with death for choosing a sexuality based on biological definitions of sex while at the same time indulging and forwarding an ideology that believes in punishing people with rape and death for choosing a sexuality based on biological definitions of sex.

Annasgirl · 03/01/2020 13:03

Hi all, this is so weird, I got an email this morning from the Lancet, essentially saying they are now focusing on gender equality and I was going to post and say oh great as they are mentioning women's health etc and equality and the UN goals but then they mention LGBTQ etc and intersectionality and I wondered, what exactly they are on about.

Annasgirl · 03/01/2020 13:04

Oh and they were interchanging women and gender and women's health issues but never mentioned sex or female so I think they still don't get it (quite frightening when you think who reads and writes it).

Thinkingabout1t · 04/01/2020 14:11

This whole thing is terrifying, but the thought of of the Lancet propagating this nonsense to doctors ... words fail me.

SetYourselfOnFire · 04/01/2020 15:16

Tell us again there's not a sinister authoritarian agenda determined to strip legal rights from women behind this. I won't believe you.

Why? Because this?
