It made me smile too, but conflicted - can’t help but think how horrible to be the subject of such a pile on, no matter how much of a wanker you are!

I wouldn't join in myself. I don't think it's nice but then Twitter isn't a nice place. Having said that, sometimes you reap what you sow.

Either vitriol on twitter is ok- as Owen's posts would suggest- or it isn't. What do you reckon, Owen?

Unfortunately it's probably there because he's gay, not because of his vile opinions of women.

I'm in camp "not a good thing" on this one. No-one deserves a personalised pile on of this nature. Can't stand Owen's tone deaf wokery at all costs, I think it's done a massive disservice to the left - but no, the hashtag is not right.

I don't think it's because he's gay at all. I also don't think it has anything to do with his views on women. It's because he's an arrogant and insufferable man.

It's not funny. It's all part of Douglas Murray's politics of intolerance. Jones is at the forefront of left wing intolerance but this hashtag is simply part of that.

I see Ash Sarkar has fumed about "fascists" on the back of it- which is a ridiculous exaggeration but her reaction is also just part of what Murray is talking about.

The same people crying over this hashtag are the same people who encourage ‘cancel culture’
