I'm so hoping this link works - thought it was an advert for a hearing aid at first.

I wouldn’t click on that link, it looks a bit dodgy!!

slipperywhensparticus · 21/12/2019 05:40

What does it say...

Notwiththeseknees · 21/12/2019 05:53

No, really it's not dodgy. It is basically a little dinette showing a woman a bit disengaged from her husband (and to her co-workers to some extent) but it is so stepford wives it's awful. Towards the end, she is washing up as he comes in, thanks her for lovely meal, one of his favourites, she should make it more often etc etc and gets the hump as she's not listening.

I thought it was an advert for a hearing aid to be honest, but it was Woman - listen more! I'll get the name & you can google it.

It's legit - sadly.

Why are you using the phrase ‘cis-man’ He’s just a man isn’t he?

anxioussue · 21/12/2019 06:10

What has cis man got to do with it ?

Notwiththeseknees · 21/12/2019 06:11

If I have to be referred to as a cis-woman, then I shall reserve the right to refer to cis-men as cis-men and trans-man as trans-men as they are men too.

Notwiththeseknees · 21/12/2019 06:12

Sorry, posted too soon. It's just so all men can relate to how it feels? Smile

Ruining her future? Well, yes, arguably by being married at all.
I'll just leave this here.

NoMoreWeepingAndWanking · 21/12/2019 06:22

She looks depressed to me, rather than 'on autopilot'

FeckTheMagicDragon · 21/12/2019 06:26

Aren’t transmen female?

FeckTheMagicDragon · 21/12/2019 06:27

Biologically speaking?

T0tallyFuckedUpFamily · 21/12/2019 06:28

Oh just stop with the cis nonsense.

lifeonaloop · 21/12/2019 06:31

Where has anyone referred to you as a cis-wasn't?

Please stop with this nonsense

YouJustDoYou · 21/12/2019 06:33

@Feck, you're not allowed to say that anymore, according to the recent ruling. Is be very careful what you post.

SpamChaudFroid · 21/12/2019 06:43

I'm not usually a NAMALTer, but I don't think most men refer to women as cis women. Just a tiny (albeit loud) percentage. It's not law yet, and we don't have to use it you know.

However the advert is awful.

Pajamagirl · 21/12/2019 06:49

@FeckTheMagicDragon

Yes they are

@youjustdoit

Well this isn’t a work intranet page
And it is the truth what feck wrote ... are we in some Orwellian world of doublespeak where we cannot speak the truth ?
Not yet but coming soon

Notwiththeseknees · 21/12/2019 06:56

Apparently biology is 'just a word'. I'll going to stick with the cis for now - I'm sick of being included as a cis-woman, mainly by woke men, so they can have a bit of cis & get an idea for how it feels. In the meantime, I will continue to write what I please, whilst staying in line with the t&c of Mumsnet.

The Judge in Maya's case made it quite clear it was not work-related

He said "She goes so far as to deny the right of a person with a Gender Recognition Certificate to be the sex to which they have transitioned."

It's not "coming soon" - it's here, now.

Pajamagirl · 21/12/2019 07:16

@wootmaggie
I stand corrected on that point re work

Bezalelle · 21/12/2019 07:49

You lost me at cis...

FTFOTFVille · 21/12/2019 12:50

Likewise, many feminists are affronted by the term ‘cis’ and ‘terf’, so using these terms will make civil debate less likely--MNHQ

Please do not use 'cis', for men or women.
