Maybe she shouldn't have been such an idiot on women's rights.

Repent at leisure, Jo

Karma. Bites, eh? Grin

ChampagneCommunist · 13/12/2019 03:51

@nachthexe Bit her right on the arse.

Excellent news about Swinson. The examination of why she lost will highlight her idiotic inability to define ‘woman’

nachthexe · 13/12/2019 03:54

Wine cheers Grin

FagashJackie · 13/12/2019 03:58

I emailed the local libdems, they are the closest fit for me politically. It was a measured pretty bland email. Did not respond. Don't want to define or safeguard women. What a shame. If she had been a feminist I'd have been rooting for her.

NickelADimeCandy · 13/12/2019 04:00

Well you've got yourself an SNP MP. The party promoting gender equality on the boards of public bodies to any man who self ids as a woman. Good luck with that.

Knowhowufeel · 13/12/2019 04:02

Made me swear at the tv when she brought up how hard it is being 'a woman in politics', and how few of them there are. She's knows what one is when it suits her Hmm

BovaryX · 13/12/2019 04:02

It’s s Conservative avalanche! There are going to be many berating stupid voters. But this is a definitive result. Labour should stop calling voters names and take a look at their idiotic policies.

Knowhowufeel · 13/12/2019 04:02

Don't think SNP are any better though

Sunkisses · 13/12/2019 04:03

Helen Belcher just lost Chippenham. Also heads up Trans Media Watch

BovaryX · 13/12/2019 04:03

It truly is pathetic isn’t it

BovaryX · 13/12/2019 04:04

Labour have become a London party. They have been giving the middle finger to their traditional voter base for years. This is the upshot

Fallingirl · 13/12/2019 04:05

Three cheers for Anna from Warwickshire.

BovaryX · 13/12/2019 04:05

Bercow is waxing lyrical about the fragrant Swinson. Glad to see the back of both of them

Sunkisses · 13/12/2019 04:17

Joanna Cherry re-elected. Yay. Good woman

SingingLily · 13/12/2019 04:18

Helen Belcher just lost Chippenham.

For the third time.

🥂

BarbaraStrozzi · 13/12/2019 04:51

Sarah Wollaston lost too.

ElfrideSwancourt · 13/12/2019 05:02

Hopefully that's the end of Helen Belcher attempting to win Chippenham.

Sheeshelection · 13/12/2019 05:03

I voted through gritted teeth. I’ve never spent so long in that voting booth. But Jo Swinson lost. Now time to raise up the voices of the Cherrys and McAlpines within the SNP. Tough battles ahead for many, many people.

Coyoacan · 13/12/2019 05:23

Yeap. I know the SNP has too heavy an influence from TRAs, but I would vote for any party that has women of the calibre of Joanna Cherry and Joan McAlpine.

BarbaraStrozzi · 13/12/2019 06:09

The BBC is reporting Layla "I can see into souls" Moran is being ripped as her successor! Confused

These extremist party activists never learn, do they?

SarahTancredi · 13/12/2019 06:45

Well I guess that's what happens when you fall for a bunch of lies then expect 51 percent of the population to still vote for you after you pledge to through them under a bus to appease the liars.

SonicVersusGynaephobia · 13/12/2019 06:53

am pretty sure that at least 149 women in Jo Swinson's constituency saw and heard her three BBC interviews over the last week and thought "nah, i just can't do it".

NonnyMouse1337 · 13/12/2019 06:54

So relieved that Joanna Cherry made it!

While I'm happy at Jo Swinson's loss, it was only by 149 votes, which is quite a small margin....

HandsOffMyRights · 13/12/2019 07:20

How many sexes are there Jo?

It was one simple question. I hope that cost her dearly.
