Did anyone catch the latest episode of South Park?

I'm a long time lurker on the feminism boards but I thought I'd share something that I felt was pretty good.

South Park often tackles important issues and points out the ridiculousness of them. Series 23 episode 7 was a good one and tackled the current issue of self identification and transwomen in sports. Of course it was done in the typical daft, OTT and insulting way but it still made a good point.

A brief synopsis is that Deputy Principle Strong Woman (yes that's her name!) competes in a decathlon and comes second to a transwoman who only self identified two weeks ago. Strong Woman has to bite her tongue because she and her partner are very PC but the transwoman (her ex-boyfriend no less) gets their arse handed to them by a load of school girls.

Is the one being promoted on the front page of peaktrans.org? I thought that was an old one. It's good though. www.peaktrans.org/

I saw a bit on Twitter this morning. Laughed a lot. I believe Pink News weren't happy. Oh dear. Grin

To me the image looked exactly like what I've seen in real life.

Well, it's not an unlikely scenario. There's been numerous podiums where a transwoman has taken a medal position.

Ironically one of the threads on Twitter about this had a man complaining that it reminded him of how resistant some people were in his roller derby league. (I'm not misgendering. It was a man complaining about how people had responded to changes to the women's team).

If it's such an unlikely scenario how can competitors from cycling, running, weight lifting, rugby and roller derby all give examples of it.

I suspect that this nonsense will get worse until ...

(I'm living in hope here but think i'm not being 'Totally' off the charts in thinking this)

Someone (Of some TG id) steps up onto the podium at the next Olympics (or possibly 2024) and gets roundly booed by 60,000 people.

THEN things will change ...

can't wait

In the meantime I get angry at the idea that girls line up in a race to compete for 2nd place behind a TG id individual.

(necessary disclaimers made elsewhere)

It's a tour de force! (sorry, always wanted to use that phrase).

They nail it..and seeing the obvious(ness?) of it all, laid out simply, shows what a farce this is and how ridiculous the woke look as they trip over themselves to appear conclusive.

Matt and Trey, this is stunning and brave (PS, even more Jenner please).

HandsOffMyRights · 16/11/2019 17:01

Inclusive!

Well that's made the point crystal clear. Good ole South Park.
