Isn't it great to know that the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission (yes the people who are only in existence because of the work of Irish Feminists over many, many bleak years) have no comment!!!!

What about Ivana Bacik - will she have a comment? I'm sending this article for comment to my local minister tomorrow. I'm not holding my breath.

So a fully male bodied person, with no changes at all, Convicted of 10 counts of sexual assault and 1 count of child cruelty gets himself a self ID certificate in Ireland and now is housed in a woman’s prison.
But that never happens.

So this man with a history of sexual assault could be put in a shared room with a woman? Is that correct?

There were a few articles about it and Rachel Moran tweeted about it but in case you didn't know, this never happens here, fingers in ears, and as some prominent Irish TRAs like to say, 5 years of GRA here and the world hasn't stopped.
I mean I can't think of anything else in Irish history that has been brushed under the rug. Such a progressive place.

Maybe it should be shared to the LibDem twitter page. See how their wokeness justifies this.

When this happened I contacted my local councillor and she told me to contact Regina Doherty minister for employment affairs and social protection. I think she has been instrumental in the GRA act here.

No he sexually assaulted a 4 year old child, a boy, but didn't assault a woman or girl so obviously not a threat. I mean I didn't see any reason why he was put in a womans prison but the way things are I could imagine this was a reason given?

Well to be fair, @SonEtLumiere, if he did he would be sacked from his job in the current climate.

I happened to be talking to my partner about this earlier tonight, and he said ah but at least he doesn't have a penis now if he is a trans woman yeah?
I had to tell him it's now a female penis. People really don't realise. they don't know what's happening at all

The Rights, Experiences and Needs of LGBT People in prison. Comissioned by the Irish penal reform trust.I note the term cis gendered is used, this report was in 2016.I imagine this report has a lot to do with this transwoman being housed in a womans estate.
